Nando’s, the globally acclaimed South African QSR brand famous for its flame-grilled Peri-Peri chicken, has entered into a joint venture with K Hospitality Corp, a prominent Indian food service company. This partnership marks a significant development in Nando’s expansion strategy in India, with plans to open 150 new restaurants across various cities over the next ten years. The first restaurant under this new joint venture is poised to open in Hyderabad shortly, signaling a major step in this ambitious expansion.
John Sikiotis, CEO of Licensed Markets & India at Nando’s, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "Partnering with K Hospitality Corp, with their extensive market knowledge, positions us well to introduce our unique flavors to more customers in India, a nation known for its rich culinary heritage.”
Nando’s, with a presence in 22 countries across five continents, sees this joint venture as an opportunity to further embed itself in the Indian market, where it can share its distinctive culinary offerings with a broader audience. The expansion plan not only aims to spread the unique taste of Nando’s chicken but also to enrich the brand’s commitment to quality service and community involvement.
Karan Kapur, Executive Director of K Hospitality Corp, highlighted the shared values and visions between the two companies, emphasizing the synergy that this partnership brings to the table. “This joint venture is not just about expanding our footprint; it's also a commitment to bringing top-notch hospitality and culinary excellence to our patrons in India,” he said.
Sameer Bhasin, CEO of Nando’s India, noted that the venture transcends culinary offerings. "It’s about the people behind our products and the communities we serve. This expansion allows us to create more jobs and engage more closely with local communities, ensuring that our growth is inclusive and beneficial for all stakeholders," he added.
The planned expansion through this joint venture is set to significantly boost Nando’s presence in India, introducing the brand’s beloved flavors to new markets and ensuring a larger footprint in the Indian culinary scene.

Aquatein
As India’s first protein water brand, Aquatein is redefining how we hydrate. Co-founded by Ananth B. Prabhala and Mitisha A. Mehta, with Suniel Shetty as investor and brand ambassador, Aquatein infuses whey protein isolate into ready-to-drink flavored water. World Cocktail Day is the perfect excuse to shake things up with something creative and delicious. To mark the occasion, Ocho Mumbai and Carnival by Tresind have shared four of their signature cocktail recipes—each one packed with personality, global inspiration, and plenty of festive flair.
Inspired by: The essence of movement and natural fermentation
Ingredients:
45 ml Dark Rum
25 ml Cacao Liqueur
30 ml Pineapple Tepache
½ bar spoon Ginger Juice
3 drops Bitters
7.5 ml Lemon Cordial
Handful of Mint Leaves
Ginger Ale (to top)
Crushed Ice
Ginger (for garnish)
Method:
Add all ingredients (except ginger ale and garnish) to a shaker with ice.
Shake vigorously until well chilled.
Strain into a clay cup with 4 ice cubes and mint leaves.
Top with ginger ale and a layer of crushed ice.
Garnish: Mint sprig and dehydrated pineapple Glassware: Clay cup with a small Mexican flag
Tasting Notes: A refreshing cocktail with tropical citrus, spice, and smooth depth.

60 ml Bourbon Whiskey
30 ml Pomegranate Juice
15 ml Pomegranate Molasses
15 ml Condensed Coconut Milk
4–5 Fresh Basil Leaves
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
Shake until chilled.
Strain into a Tiffany rock glass.
Top with black sesame coconut foam.

20 ml Campari
35 ml Fluffy Grapefruit Juice

Beer (to top)
Add Campari, grapefruit juice, lime juice, and thyme syrup to a shaker with ice.
Shake briefly.
Strain into a highball glass with ice.
Top with beer and stir gently.

40 ml Jim Beam
20 ml In-house Coffee Liqueur
20 ml Fresh Espresso
5 ml Demerara Syrup
Add all ingredients to a shaker filled with ice.
Fine strain into a chilled Nick and Nora glass.
Top with coconut-miso foam.
