Nando’s, the globally acclaimed South African QSR brand famous for its flame-grilled Peri-Peri chicken, has entered into a joint venture with K Hospitality Corp, a prominent Indian food service company. This partnership marks a significant development in Nando’s expansion strategy in India, with plans to open 150 new restaurants across various cities over the next ten years. The first restaurant under this new joint venture is poised to open in Hyderabad shortly, signaling a major step in this ambitious expansion.
John Sikiotis, CEO of Licensed Markets & India at Nando’s, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "Partnering with K Hospitality Corp, with their extensive market knowledge, positions us well to introduce our unique flavors to more customers in India, a nation known for its rich culinary heritage.”
Nando’s, with a presence in 22 countries across five continents, sees this joint venture as an opportunity to further embed itself in the Indian market, where it can share its distinctive culinary offerings with a broader audience. The expansion plan not only aims to spread the unique taste of Nando’s chicken but also to enrich the brand’s commitment to quality service and community involvement.
Karan Kapur, Executive Director of K Hospitality Corp, highlighted the shared values and visions between the two companies, emphasizing the synergy that this partnership brings to the table. “This joint venture is not just about expanding our footprint; it's also a commitment to bringing top-notch hospitality and culinary excellence to our patrons in India,” he said.
Sameer Bhasin, CEO of Nando’s India, noted that the venture transcends culinary offerings. "It’s about the people behind our products and the communities we serve. A new Italian dining destination is ready to add fresh energy to Navi Mumbai’s food scene with the launch of Piccolino Italian Taproom. Designed as an all-day vegetarian space, the restaurant brings together relaxed European charm, handcrafted Italian food, and a modern taproom experience under one roof.
Inspired by the easy-going vibe of European plazas, Piccolino is created as a warm and welcoming space for every kind of gathering. From leisurely lunches and coffee catch-ups to family dinners, intimate dates, and lively evenings with friends, the restaurant is positioned as a seamless all-day destination that celebrates everyday moments.
At the core of Piccolino’s kitchen is a strong focus on honest, from-scratch cooking. Fresh pasta is rolled and shaped every morning, pizza dough is fermented for 24 hours to achieve the right texture, and breads, sauces, and dips are prepared in-house daily.
