Minor Hotels, a prominent name in the hospitality industry, is proud to announce Pedro Carvalho as their new Director of Food & Beverage Operations, based in Dubai, UAE. With over 30 years of experience, Carvalho's background includes managing renowned restaurants and members' clubs in the UK. His previous roles have seen him directing operations at prestigious establishments such as Annabel's in London and The Ivy Collection.

Throughout his impressive career, Carvalho has demonstrated exceptional skills in organizing and managing events with over 1,000 attendees. His leadership abilities shine through as he has overseen a team of more than 560 professionals.

In his new position as Director of F&B Operations, Carvalho's role is to lead and manage all aspects of food and beverage planning and service at Anantara, Avani, NH Collection, Oaks, and Tivoli properties across the Middle East.

Surat Marriott Hotel has announced the appointment of Bishwajeet Kumar as its new executive chef. Kumar brings with him over 23 years of experience in culinary leadership, spanning hotel kitchens, air catering services, cruise liners, and large-scale catering operations. He has worked with reputed hospitality brands such as Marriott International, IHCL, Hyatt, InterContinental Hotels Group, and The Orchid. His most recent role was with IHCL’s TajSats Air Catering in Goa.

With expertise in leading kitchen operations, developing menus, and delivering memorable dining experiences, Kumar is known for his operational precision and creative culinary approach.

In his new role at Surat Marriott Hotel, Kumar will oversee all culinary operations, including the hotel’s signature restaurants, banquets, and in-room dining. His focus will be on diligent operations, consistent food quality, and enhancing the guest experience.

Expressing his excitement about the appointment, Amit Mehta, Vice President of Operations, said:
