Today, Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott International's award-winning travel program and marketplace, and Starbucks announced a new collaboration offering distinctive benefits to loyalty members. Marriott Bonvoy members and Starbucks Rewards U.S. members who link loyalty accounts will have the opportunity to earn more Stars toward free beverages, food, and more at Starbucks, and Marriott Bonvoy points that can be redeemed at Marriott Bonvoy's more than 30 brands and 10,000 global destinations, as well as for Marriott Bonvoy Moments experiences.
Starting today, June 18, eligible members enrolled in both programs can easily link their accounts by visiting Starbucks.com/MarriottBonvoy. Once linked, Starbucks Rewards and Marriott Bonvoy members can begin to earn these new benefits from both programs:
Double Stars During Stays: Marriott Bonvoy and Starbucks Rewards members can earn Double Stars on qualifying transactions at participating Starbucks locations throughout their eligible stay at hotels participating in Marriott Bonvoy.
Marriott Bonvoy Weeks | Sip, Dream, Go™: Throughout the year, during any designated Marriott Bonvoy Week, Starbucks Rewards and Marriott Bonvoy members will earn 100 Marriott Bonvoy points when they make three qualifying transactions at participating Starbucks locations. The first Marriott Bonvoy Week begins on July 8 and will run through July 14.

To celebrate the new loyalty collaboration, Marriott Bonvoy will launch a sweepstakes exclusively available to Starbucks Rewards and Marriott Bonvoy members with linked accounts. The sweepstakes will offer linked members an opportunity to enter to win a range of prizes, including a Grand Prize trip to visit each of the Starbucks Reserve Roasteries in Seattle, Milan, and Tokyo with a stay in a participating hotel and round-trip air transportation fare included. Additional prizes include a visit to one of the Starbucks Reserve Roasteries in either Seattle, Milan, or Tokyo including a hotel stay and round-trip air transportation, as well as 500 chances to win hundreds of Bonus Stars from Starbucks. Eligible customers in the U.S. can enter the sweepstakes between June 18 and July 7 and find the official rules here.
Starbucks Reserve locations in Seattle, Chicago, and New York are also introducing the Starbucks Reserve Siciliano for Marriott Bonvoy to celebrate the launch. The cocktail, inspired by the brands' mutual love for travel, coffee, and connection, blends Starbucks Reserve Cold Brew with traditional Italian spirits, including Amaro Averna and Carpano Antica Formula Sweet Vermouth, finished with Scrappy's Orange Bitters, sparkling water, and an orange swath. For a limited time, Starbucks Rewards and Marriott Bonvoy members with linked accounts can enjoy this exclusive global-inspired cocktail at U.S. Starbucks Reserve Roasteries and the Starbucks Reserve Store at Empire State Building®.

Spain’s airport operator Aena has reported a record 321.6 million passengers across its Spanish airports, marking the third consecutive year of growth. The figure represents a 3.9 per cent increase compared to the previous year and surpassed the company’s own forecast of 320 million passengers, reflecting stronger-than-expected travel demand.
The continued rise in passenger numbers highlights Spain’s solid position as a key European tourism destination. While the global airline industry continues to face challenges such as aircraft delivery delays, labour shortages, and rising operating costs, demand for travel to and within Spain has remained resilient.
Madrid’s Adolfo Suárez Barajas Airport retained its position as the busiest airport in the country, followed by Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport and Palma de Mallorca. These airports continue to play a central role in handling both domestic and international traffic, supporting the country’s tourism and business travel ecosystem.
Aena noted that the consistent growth in passenger traffic has reinforced the need for long-term infrastructure planning. The company is currently working on its investment plan for the 2027–2031 period to ensure its airports are well equipped to manage rising demand in the years ahead.
“Traffic records from recent years are a clear indication of this need and of the situation that will arise in the coming years in terms of infrastructure,” the company said in its statement.
While Aena did not share an updated outlook for the next year, the latest results underline the operator’s strong performance and Spain’s ongoing attractiveness as a major travel market in Europe.

Tripadvisor has announced its Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Destinations for 2026, recognising the places most loved by travellers worldwide. The rankings are based on millions of reviews and ratings shared by travellers across the platform, reflecting trusted experiences in accommodation, dining and attractions.
The Best of the Best Destinations cover multiple travel categories, including top global destinations, trending places, cultural hubs, food destinations, honeymoon getaways and solo travel favourites. The awards highlight locations that continue to inspire travellers through memorable experiences, local character and strong hospitality offerings.
Bali has been named the world’s top destination for 2026, earning widespread praise for its lush landscapes, pristine beaches and warm hospitality. Travellers highlighted experiences such as scenic mountain adventures and marine excursions that showcase the island’s natural beauty. Other destinations ranking among the world’s top favourites include London, Dubai, Hanoi, Paris, Rome, Marrakech, Bangkok and Crete, reflecting strong interest in cities that combine culture, history and leisure.
In the United States, New York City retained its position as the most popular destination, reinforcing its status as a global centre for food, culture, entertainment and the arts. Las Vegas, Oahu, Nashville, New Orleans, Chicago, Charleston, Key West, Washington DC and Boston also featured prominently, alongside coastal and leisure-focused destinations.
Madeira, Portugal emerged as the world’s top trending destination for 2026, gaining attention for its dramatic landscapes, relaxed pace and family-friendly appeal. The island’s mix of outdoor adventure and natural attractions has drawn travellers seeking quieter escapes. Tbilisi in Georgia followed closely, driven by its growing cultural scene and distinctive architecture. Other trending destinations included cities across Europe, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East, highlighting shifting traveller preferences.
Solo travel continued to gain momentum, with Dublin ranked as the world’s leading solo travel destination. The city stood out for its walkability, historic landmarks, welcoming atmosphere and diverse food scene. Berlin, London, Santiago, Edinburgh, New York City, Hanoi, Madrid, Bali and Cape Town Central also featured among the top choices for independent travellers.
London claimed the top spot as the world’s leading food destination for 2026, recognised for its diverse culinary landscape ranging from fine dining to street food. Dubai made a strong debut, ranking second globally with its blend of traditional flavours and modern cuisine. In the United States, New York City led the food destination rankings, followed by Las Vegas, Maui, Orlando and Miami.
In the culture category, Singapore rose to the top, celebrated for its rich blend of heritage, modern attractions and vibrant arts scene. London and Krakow followed, with travellers appreciating their historic charm, museums and creative energy. Paris, Rome, Edinburgh, Hanoi and Kyoto also ranked highly for cultural experiences.
For honeymoon travel, Bali once again led the list of the world’s most romantic destinations. Mauritius, the Maldives, St Lucia, Galle, Hue, Napa, Positano, Watamu and Antigua were also recognised for offering intimate settings and memorable experiences for couples.
Tripadvisor said the rankings reflect the quality and quantity of traveller reviews collected globally, showcasing destinations that consistently deliver meaningful and enjoyable travel experiences across categories.
