Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new Taj hotel in Panchkula, Haryana. This greenfield project is set to meet the growing demand in the tricity of Panchkula, Mohali, and Chandigarh.
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice-President of Real Estate & Development at IHCL, commented on the occasion: "The signing of a Taj in Panchkula, one of Haryana’s leading cities, aligns with our vision to further solidify IHCL’s presence in the region. Given its proximity to Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, this addition will also create a new travel circuit. We are pleased to partner with Mr. Kuldeep Singh Makkar for this venture."
Strategically situated in the HSIIDC IT park of Panchkula, the hotel spans two acres and will feature 150 spacious guest rooms with panoramic views of the Ghagghar River and Panchkula Golf Course. Dining options include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty restaurant, a bar, and a lobby lounge. The hotel will also boast the city's largest banqueting hall at 10,000 sq. ft., making it ideal for business conferences and social events.
Guests can unwind at the extensive recreation facilities, which include a swimming pool, a well-equipped gym, a health club, and the J Wellness Circle, IHCL’s holistic wellness offering.
Panchkula, a planned city in Haryana, serves as a satellite city of the Union Territory of Chandigarh. Located at the foothills of the famous Shivalik range, it is also the base for exploring the revered Mansa Devi temple and Gurudwara Nada Sahib. With the addition of this hotel, IHCL will have six hotels in Haryana under the Taj, Vivanta, Gateway, and Ginger brands, including two under development.
