Novotel Goa Candolim has announced the promotion of Gnanavel Dhanabalan to Executive Housekeeper, recognising his contribution to Accor and his experience across housekeeping and laundry operations.

Gnanavel began his Accor journey in 2014 with Novotel Chennai Sipcot and brings more than 14 years of overall hospitality experience. During his career with Accor, he has held leadership roles across properties in Chennai, Vijayawada and Goa, developing expertise in hotel operations, housekeeping, laundry management and people leadership.

In his current role at Novotel Goa Candolim, Gnanavel is responsible for strengthening housekeeping and laundry operations while maintaining service standards across the property. His focus areas include operational excellence, guest satisfaction, team development and continuous improvement.

Before taking up his new position, Gnanavel served as Laundry Manager at Novotel Goa Resort & Spa, where he worked on improving operational efficiency. He has also led multiple brand and compliance audits and contributed to guestroom and property refurbishment projects during his career.

In his new position, Gnanavel will continue to oversee housekeeping and laundry operations, enhance guest experiences and support the development of his team while maintaining Accor’s quality and hospitality standards.

Outside work, Gnanavel enjoys cooking and exploring new food experiences. He also likes discovering the cultures and traditions of different destinations.

The promotion adds to Novotel Goa Candolim’s leadership team as the property continues to focus on service standards and guest experiences for leisure, family and bleisure travellers visiting Goa.
