Novotel Goa Resort & Spa and Novotel Goa Candolim have announced the appointment of Joy Fernandes as their new Cluster IT Manager. Fernandes, an accomplished IT professional, brings a strong background in hospitality technology to his new role.

Having previously led IT operations at Novotel Bengaluru Outer Ring Road and Ibis Bengaluru Outer Ring Road, Fernandes successfully managed an extensive inventory of 526 rooms. His expertise spans operational systems support, IT strategy and planning, business continuity, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity.

Strategic Role in Enhancing IT Operations

In his new position, Fernandes will focus on ensuring that technology supports business operations, enhances user experience, and optimizes efficiency across both Novotel properties. He will oversee:

• Cybersecurity and Data Protection
• Vendor Management and Cost Optimization
• Implementation of emerging technologies, including cloud services and AI-driven solutions
• Upcoming technology initiatives to ensure a competitive edge
