JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar has announced the appointment of Moize Rocque as its new Director of Sales & Marketing. With over 18 years of experience in luxury hospitality, Rocque brings a wealth of expertise in unit sales, pre-opening strategies, global sales, and the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) segment.

Before joining JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, Rocque was the Director of Sales & Marketing at The Westin Mumbai Garden City. His strategic leadership played a crucial role in the successful launch of The Ritz-Carlton, Pune, positioning it as a leading luxury destination.

Rocque began his career as a management trainee in sales with Novotel Hyderabad & HICC and later held key positions at Ibis and Novotel Bangalore. His rise through the ranks saw him leading the opening of Aloft Cessna Business Park as Accounts Director. His career spans notable hospitality brands, including Leela Palaces Hotels and Resorts, Accor, and Marriott International.

In his new role at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, Rocque will be responsible for:

Rajesh Rana has been appointed as the Director (Commercial & Marketing) of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. He took charge on March 17 and will serve as a member of the board of directors. With over 26 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Rana brings a wealth of expertise in catering, tourism, marketing, and business operations.

Beginning his career as a management trainee with the Jaypee Group of Hotels, he later moved to THDC India Limited, a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU). In 2005, he joined IRCTC, where he played a key role in shaping its hospitality and tourism initiatives.

Over a span of 19 years, he held leadership positions across regional, zonal, and corporate offices, rising through the ranks as Deputy General Manager, Joint General Manager, Additional General Manager, and General Manager. His expertise covers catering, tourism, operations, administration, marketing, product development, and risk management.

Before joining ITDC, Rana served as General Manager at IRCTC’s Corporate Office in New Delhi, where he was also Chief Risk Officer (CRO). A distinguished alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Lucknow, he also holds an MBA in Marketing. Recognized for his strategic leadership and risk management capabilities, he has contributed significantly to business growth in the hospitality, tourism, and railway catering sectors.
