Oravel Stays, the company behind OYO Rooms, is set to replicate a similar strategy for its upscale hotel chain, Palette. The company is preparing to introduce self-operated premium hotels under the Palette brand, starting with Morbi.

Morbi, known as India’s ceramic capital, is a key economic hub in Gujarat. The district is home to over 800 tile factories, accounting for 90 percent of India's tile production, with an annual turnover of about INR 50,000 crore.

Oravel’s Palette in Morbi is designed to meet the needs of business travelers. The property boasts 48 spacious rooms and amenities such as a conference room, common spaces, a swimming pool, restaurant, and 24×7 free WiFi, ensuring a comfortable and productive stay. Its proximity to key business hubs and industrial areas further enhances its appeal to corporate guests.

Expressing excitement about the launch, Aditya Sharma, Business Head of Oravel Stays Private Limited, stated, “We are excited to introduce our inaugural self-operated Palette hotel in Gujarat, and Morbi is the perfect city to begin with. Given its flourishing economic scene and expanding business opportunities, Morbi holds strategic importance for us. Our goal is to provide business travelers with a premium hospitality experience, and we eagerly anticipate contributing to Morbi’s growth story. We believe the government’s focus on Morbi will transform it into a thriving hub, and we are thrilled to be part of this exciting journey.”

Palette was initially launched by Oravel Stays with ten hotels across cities like Jaipur, Hyderabad, Digha, Mumbai, Chennai, Manesar, and Bangalore. In an effort to ensure an improved guest experience and service delivery, the company plans to take direct operational control of select Palette hotels in high-growth and promising locations. Oravel Stays aims to inaugurate an additional 12 self-operated Palette hotels by the end of the year.

This holiday season, ITC Maurya in New Delhi showcases its commitment to sustainability with the unveiling of ‘ECO NOËL’, a Christmas tree that harmonizes festive joy with environmental responsibility. Located at the heart of the Chaitya Lobby, the tree is a stunning symbol of Responsible Luxury, a hallmark of ITC Hotels.

Crafted entirely from 100% eco-sustainable materials, the ECO NOËL tree was brought to life after over 350 hours of dedicated effort. Adorned with unique decorations made from coconut shells, jute, coir ropes, broom twigs, and yarn, the tree exemplifies creativity and sustainability. A sparkling star atop completes this eco-conscious masterpiece, reminding visitors that luxury can coexist with mindful choices.

Sharing insights on the initiative, Amaan Kidwai, Area Manager (North Luxury ITC Hotels) and General Manager of ITC Maurya, said, “The Eco Noël Christmas Tree at ITC Maurya imbibes Responsible Luxury, reminding us that even in merry-making, we can make choices that honour the planet. Our team worked tirelessly for days, weaving these humble materials into a masterpiece, celebrating the principles of recycling. Let this season inspire us all to rejoice mindfully through sustainable resourcing.”

Complementing the ECO NOËL tree, ITC Maurya’s Pastry Masters have created a remarkable gingerbread display, designed as a miniature replica of the hotel’s architectural design inspired by a Buddhist stupa. Adorned with intricate icing filigree and showcasing the hotel’s iconic dining brands, this sweet creation adds an extra layer of festive charm to the celebrations.

Through this initiative, ITC Maurya reinforces its commitment to the principles of "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle" and sets an inspiring example for sustainable celebrations. The ECO NOËL tree not only represents environmental stewardship but also embodies teamwork and the creative spirit of WelcomEnviron, ITC’s sustainable practices initiative.
