Oxymorons Launches in Hyderabad as City’s First Cocktail Lab

Oxymorons is set to redefine Hyderabad’s bar culture with its bold vision, inventive mixology, and immersive storytelling. Designed to be more than just a bar, Oxymorons positions itself as a cocktail lab, where every drink is an experiment, every detail a conversation starter, and every visit a one-of-a-kind experience.

Meticulously crafted signature cocktails challenge the conventional idea of “going out for a drink” by transforming each creation into an exploration of flavour, texture, and memory. Each cocktail is clarified, fermented, or fat-washed, appearing crystal-clear while offering multi-layered, unexpected flavours.

Founded by Rehan Guha, a hospitality veteran with over 25 years of global experience, Oxymorons is his most personal and experimental venture yet. “Oxymorons is a study in meaningful dissonance, familiar yet new, polished yet raw, precise yet free-spirited. It’s Hyderabad’s answer to the global cocktail renaissance, blending hometown warmth with a world-class approach,” says Guha.

The bar is housed within a historic building where nostalgia meets cinematic drama. Its design fuses old-world charm with surreal red lighting, curved ceilings reminiscent of circus whimsy, and a layout that feels part science lab, part Wes Anderson set.

At Oxymorons, bartenders go beyond the role of mixologists to become storytellers, delivering drinks that are not just sipped but experienced. Each cocktail blends Indian spices, Japanese precision, and global influences—offering a sensory journey that surprises and captivates with every sip.

The launch of Oxymorons marks a new chapter for Hyderabad’s nightlife. It’s not just about drinking—it’s about engaging, discovering, and walking away with a memory.

Oxymorons: Where contradictions taste better.
