Global hospitality technology company OYO has announced a discount of up to 65% for Indian tourists planning to travel to Indonesia during the festive season. This exciting offer will be available from October 1, 2024, with bookings open until December 31, 2024. With a wide network of 3,000+ properties across popular cities like Bali, Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Bandung, Medan, Surabaya, and Tangerang, OYO aims to provide Indian travelers with comfortable, affordable stays while they explore Indonesia.
OYO’s diverse network caters to different types of travelers, whether they are seeking a beachside escape, a cultural adventure, or an urban getaway. These properties, including Belvilla holiday homes, Townhouse, and Collection O hotels, offer premium and mid-range accommodations to ensure a memorable experience for guests.
This move aligns with Indonesia’s efforts to attract more tourists from India. Between January and July 2024, the country recorded a 28% increase in Indian tourists, with 4.18 lakh visitors. As India ranks fifth in international tourists visiting Indonesia and second for those visiting Bali, the government is now hopeful of surpassing its target for 2024, aiming to host one million Indian tourists by the end of the year.
Ankit Tandon, Global Chief Business Officer and CEO of Southeast Asia & Middle East (SEAME) at OYO, shared, “Indonesia is one of our largest markets outside of India, and we are excited to support the government's goal for Indian tourist arrivals. We believe our company-serviced hotels will provide tourists with a seamless and enjoyable stay.”
The increase in Indian tourists to Indonesia is largely due to improved connectivity, with direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and other major cities. The country is also focusing on attracting Gen Z, wedding parties, educational tours, and business travelers, further boosting its appeal as a top destination for Indian travelers.

Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd. has further deepened its roots in Mysuru with the launch of Regenta Resort Tropical Villages, a one-of-its-kind experiential property nestled in a tranquil setting. With this, ROHL now operates five hotels in the city, underscoring its dedication to Mysuru’s growing tourism and hospitality landscape.
This new resort stands out for its concept—35 uniquely themed cottages, each inspired by different architectural and cultural elements from around the world. Adding to this immersive experience is Mangala Kutira, an exclusive accommodation block with 12 rooms designed around India’s ancient Pancha Bhootas and Pancha Tattva philosophies. The goal? To offer a soulful, culturally diverse escape that goes beyond traditional leisure.
Commenting on the launch, Chander K. Baljee, chairman & managing director of ROHL, shared, “We are thrilled to launch Regenta Resort Tropical Villages in Mysore, a city that has always held a special place for us. With this launch, we are bringing to life a truly distinctive resort experience that goes beyond leisure and hospitality—it’s a celebration of cultural diversity, wellness, and sustainability.”
Mahesh, owner of Tropical Villages, added, “The launch of Regenta Resort Tropical Villages is the realisation of a vision to create a soulful destination. Partnering with ROHL has brought this dream to life, and we are confident this property will enhance Mysore’s tourism appeal while creating memorable guest experiences.”
Built to cater to both leisure and business travellers, the resort features a robust wellness offering with a yoga hall, therapy center, and eco-friendly swimming pool. Culinary diversity also takes centre stage with an all-day dining restaurant, a dedicated non-vegetarian kitchen, and a Healthy Bar serving detox juices and traditional health drinks.
Guests can enjoy traditional games from Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America, while kids have their own play zones. Sprawled across over 12,000 sq. ft. of lush lawns, the resort is also equipped to host destination weddings, corporate events, and intimate gatherings.
This new addition is in line with ROHL’s asset-light expansion model and signals the brand’s growing focus on cultural immersion, wellness, and sustainable hospitality.
