OYO, the hospitality tech platform, has announced its plan to add more than 1,000 hotels to support over 100 first-generation hoteliers by December 2023. This initiative is part of OYO's accelerator program, which was launched earlier this year with the goal of supporting 50 first-generation hoteliers.

Since the program's announcement, OYO has already added over 300 hotels operated by 30 hoteliers, surpassing the initial target of 200 properties in the first phase. The company is actively engaging with its hotel partners to gather their insights, concerns, and suggestions, according to Anuj Tejpal, OYO's Chief Merchant Officer.

Recognizing the promising growth in the Indian hospitality sector, OYO aims to cater to the increasing demand by focusing on first-generation hoteliers who are looking to expand their businesses in popular leisure travel destinations such as Shimla, Amritsar, Udaipur, Goa, Mysore, Tirupati, Puri, and Gangtok. This expansion will strengthen OYO's accelerator program network.

In addition to the hotel expansion, OYO is also emphasizing the growth of its premium hotel brands, including Townhouse Oak, OYO Townhouse, Collection O, and Capital O, throughout 2023.
