In the heart of Jaipur’s historic MI Road district, Paro has quickly established itself as a crown jewel in the city’s evolving nightlife. Housed in an 80-year-old colonial building, this “Modern Indian Bar” merges old-world elegance with contemporary vibrancy, offering Jaipur’s trendsetters a place where heritage and modernity coexist.
The restored mansion retains original architectural elements, including lime plaster walls crafted by descendants of Jaipur’s Hawa Mahal artisans and Makrana marble flooring, the same used in the Taj Mahal. These historic details blend seamlessly with modern luxuries, from a central island bar to plush interiors and a rooftop that glows under flickering candles as dusk falls. The result is an atmosphere that feels both nostalgically regal and strikingly modern.
At Paro’s bar, mixology is reimagined with an Indian soul. Signature cocktails showcase indigenous ingredients and inventive presentations, from the rose-infused “Shehar” gin and tonic to the kokum and cumin-spiced “Ratnagiri Rhapsody.” Playful creations like the “Saanjh” cocktail, served with a smoking rosemary sprig to mimic a Jaipur sunset, highlight co-founder Ujjwal Gupta’s passion for storytelling through drinks.
The food menu follows the same ethos, reinterpreting regional favorites into creative, shareable delights. Classics are reinvented — Rajasthani Dal Bati becomes Dal Bati Bites, dosa transforms into crisp Onion Rings, and Mumbai Pav Bhaji finds new form as buttery rolls. Desserts too bridge nostalgia and innovation, with creations like Aamras Panna Cotta and Jigarthanda Falooda. Each dish complements the cocktails, celebrating India’s culinary heritage with a modern twist.
Paro also thrives as an immersive nightlife venue. Live indie acts, DJ sets, and an energetic crowd give the space a buzzing yet intimate vibe. Guests praise its balance of sophistication and warmth, with genuine Rajasthani hospitality anchoring every experience.
Beyond its daily operations, Paro has emerged as a cultural trendsetter. From hosting Jaipur’s first Superkicks street-culture event to collaborating with Michelin-starred chefs for exclusive tasting menus, the bar has carved a national reputation. Media accolades from Condé Nast Traveller and others highlight its unique ability to celebrate local culture while embracing global innovation.
With its fusion of history, mixology, cuisine, music, and events, Paro has redefined Jaipur’s nightlife. Whether for a date night, a celebration, or simply to soak in the rooftop views, it stands as a destination where heritage and modern indulgence meet in perfect harmony.

At the seventh edition of the IWS Awards, held at the iconic Taj Lands End, Crazy Cock Indian Single Malt Whisky secured the highest rating and was crowned Best in Show in the Indian Single Malt Whisky category. The recognition cements Crazy Cock’s position among India’s finest whiskies and alongside some of the world’s most celebrated names.
Born from a century-old legacy of craftsmanship at South Seas Distilleries, Crazy Cock is the result of patience, precision, and quiet obsession. Established long before India’s single malt revolution took hold, South Seas Distilleries stands today among the few whose heritage can be mentioned in the same breath as Yamazaki Distillery of Japan and Glenturret Distillery of Scotland.
Hosted by Vinexposium Paris, the IWS Awards are regarded as one of the world’s most respected wine and spirits recognitions. This year’s event was curated by Sonal C. Holland, Chairperson of the IWS Awards, and graced by Grace Ghazale.
Over the years, South Seas has built India’s largest private cask collection, sourcing exclusive bourbon and sherry casks from across the globe. Each drop of Crazy Cock Single Malt is drawn from this collection, matured with precision, and bottled in limited batches, ensuring every release remains truly exceptional.
At South Seas, time is the ultimate artisan. Each cask, nurtured under India’s tropical sun between the mountains and the sea, yields whisky with profound depth and bold character. The result is a spirit of extraordinary complexity and distinction, admired by connoisseurs worldwide.
“The distillery has always been obsessed with quality and meticulous in its attention to detail. Its unique location gives our whiskies the benefit of tropical maturation, creating Indian single malts of unmatched richness and character,” says Hamavand Chinoy, Director, South Seas Distilleries.
Available in select domestic markets and duty-free locations, Crazy Cock Indian Single Malt Whisky offers a rare and refined experience for those who seek India’s best.

The Gin and the Genie blends gin with raw mango cordial, adding a tangy burst of flavour that pairs beautifully with the spirit’s juniper base. A chilli salt rim adds a gentle heat, giving each sip a bold finish that feels distinctly Indian.
