Parsi Dairy Farm Marks 110 Years with Diwali Rap Celebrating the Joy of Giving

Parsi Dairy Farm, one of Mumbai’s oldest dairy and mithai brands, is marking its 110th anniversary with a Diwali rap that brings its century-old legacy into a contemporary musical format.

Titled “This Is Diwali, Giving”, the 70-second film and track features Mumbai rapper Mohak and was shot entirely inside the brand’s iconic Marine Lines store. Familiar elements of the outlet, including its counters, kulfi freezer and red door, become the setting for the campaign.

Released on October 23, 2026, the film captures everyday Diwali moments, from family gatherings and festive selfies to relatives reaching for the last piece of barfi and carrying boxes of mithai when visiting loved ones.

The campaign also makes its hook available as an open audio on Instagram, inviting users to incorporate the track into their own Diwali reels. The approach gives the brand an opportunity to move beyond conventional festive advertising and encourage audience participation through social media.

The film features Parsi Dairy Farm’s signature offerings, including barela peda, sutarfeni, kulfi and ghee, alongside seasonal additions such as chocolate dragees and flavoured nuts. These products are also presented in the brand’s Diwali hampers, reinforcing the connection between traditional sweets, festive gifting and the act of sharing.

Now run by the family’s fourth generation, Parsi Dairy Farm is using music for the first time to tell its story to a younger audience. The campaign links the brand’s 110-year history with the digital platforms where consumers increasingly discover brands, share experiences and participate in festive trends.

Commenting on the campaign, Zeenia K. Patel, Director, Branding and Marketing, Parsi Dairy Farm, said, “Most of Mumbai has a Parsi Dairy Farm memory. This Diwali we wanted to make something for the generation making the memories now, in their language and their format. The rap is still about what we have always been about: a box of mithai, given to someone you love.”

Founded by Nariman Ardeshir in 1916 on Princess Street, Parsi Dairy Farm has built its identity around dairy products and traditional Indian sweets. Its portfolio includes kulfi, ghee, paneer, mithai and The Great Indian Toffee.

The Diwali campaign reflects how heritage food brands can use contemporary formats to remain relevant while retaining the emotional associations built around their products. For Parsi Dairy Farm, the central message remains familiar: festive gifting is as much about relationships and shared memories as it is about the sweets inside the box.
