World-renowned tennis coach Patrick Mouratoglou and The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón are joining forces to open the first Mouratoglou Tennis Center in Florida. Slated to launch in early summer 2024, this partnership promises a premier tennis experience with a range of training camps, private lessons, leagues, and retreats, all leveraging Mouratoglou's proven methodology.
The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón is an ideal location for this venture. Situated just three miles from the Gulf of Mexico and nestled within an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, the resort offers a serene backdrop with luxury amenities. Guests can enjoy two championship golf courses, on-site spa services, and exquisite dining options such as al-fresco dinners at Ría. This new tennis center will further enhance the resort's appeal to outdoor enthusiasts and active travelers.
Mouratoglou, who has coached legends like Serena Williams and Holger Rune, sees Florida as a prime destination for tennis. "Florida is one of the best tennis destinations. It’s where I have many memories coaching top players. The state’s passion for tennis and its sports culture make it the perfect place for our expansion," Mouratoglou said. He also praised The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón for its commitment to excellence, aligning perfectly with his vision.
Jenny Piccione, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón, echoed this sentiment. "Tennis is integral to the active lifestyle our guests enjoy. Bringing Patrick Mouratoglou's proven methodology to our coaches and players will elevate the level of instruction and skill improvement available at our resort," Piccione stated.
The new Mouratoglou Tennis Center will feature four outdoor tennis courts and a comprehensive array of programs. These include summer tennis camps, a kids' program, weekend and holiday camps, private and group lessons, and exclusive offerings for Ritz-Carlton guests and members, such as leagues and round-robin tournaments. Coaches will be trained in the Mouratoglou Methodology, which emphasizes customization and adaptation to each player's unique needs, ensuring rapid improvement for all participants regardless of age or skill level.
Since 1996, the Mouratoglou Academy on the French Riviera has been synonymous with tennis excellence, nurturing talents like Serena Williams, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Holger Rune, and Coco Gauff. This new center in Florida is part of Mouratoglou’s broader vision of global expansion. The academy's success has led to the establishment of centers in Dubai, Costa Navarino, Kuala Lumpur, Sardinia, Beijing, New York, and soon, Melbourne in 2027.
This expansion into Florida marks a significant step in Mouratoglou’s mission to provide top-tier tennis training worldwide. The partnership with The Ritz-Carlton Naples, Tiburón reflects a strategic move to integrate high-level sports facilities with luxury hospitality, offering guests an unparalleled experience.
