Homegrown casual dining brand Perilicious – Smash Burgers & Grills has opened its third outlet at GK 2, M Block, expanding its smash burger and grill-led concept with draught beer, wine and a new range of lighter cocktails.
The new 43-seater outlet represents another step in the evolution of a brand that began with a 20-seater restaurant in Malviya Nagar in February 2024. Over the past two years, Perilicious has grown to three outlets and one centralised kitchen, with its 40-seater location at Elan Epic Mall, Gurgaon taking the brand beyond Delhi.
The Greater Kailash outlet brings together the elements that have shaped Perilicious so far, smash burgers and grills, an informal setting, a wider food menu and a stronger drinks offering designed around social dining.
Perilicious was founded by three friends, Raihan Bham, Krishnam Duggal and Nikunj Gaba, who returned to India after spending time abroad and partnered with Devinder Verma, bringing his 25 years of F&B experience into the business.
The founders' exposure to international food and dining cultures led them to explore what they believed was missing in India's casual dining landscape. The concept initially revolved around peri-peri before evolving into the smash burger and grill-focused business that became Perilicious.
The first outlet in Malviya Nagar served as an important testing ground for the brand. Its compact 20-seater format quickly attracted demand and regular waiting, giving the founders direct insight into what customers were ordering and returning for.
Over time, this feedback led the team to place greater emphasis on the smash burger category, while retaining grills as a core part of the offering.
Today, the menu extends beyond smash burgers and grills to include grilled chicken, rice bowls, loaded fries, tenders, desserts and signature sauces, alongside newer categories such as smashed tacos, hot dogs and small plates.
The Mushroom Melt offers a vegetarian take on the smash burger format, reflecting the brand's effort to expand its menu while maintaining its core identity.
The new Greater Kailash outlet takes this evolution further by adding a dedicated drinks programme to the dining experience.
The GK 2 location introduces draught beer and wine, with the beer offering drawing inspiration from the familiar "beers and burgers" culture that the founders experienced during their time abroad.
The concept is built around pairing crafted burgers and grills with cold tap beer in an informal social environment. The brand sees an opportunity to offer this combination at approachable pricing in Delhi.
Nikunj Gaba, Co-Founder, said: "GK is where we finally got to have a little more fun with Perilicious - the burgers and grills people already know us for, now with cold beer, wine and a lot more energy around the table. It feels bigger, louder and much closer to the brand we always wanted to build."
The drinks menu also features beer- and wine-based cocktails, taking inspiration from drinking cultures in destinations such as Mexico and Germany.
The Michelada combines vodka with citrus, shrimp, tomato and chilli and is finished with a chilli-tamarind rim, offering a spicy and savoury interpretation of the Mexican-inspired beer cocktail.
The menu also features White Wine Picante and Red Wine Float, bringing spice and fruit-forward flavours into the wine-based cocktail offering.
Rather than following a conventional spirit-heavy cocktail programme, the drinks have been designed to be approachable, food-friendly and suitable for everything from weekday evenings to longer weekend gatherings.
Perilicious describes itself as a Casual Dine-in Restaurant (CDR), with its outlets designed around informal service, social dining and an atmosphere that encourages guests to stay beyond the meal.
The Greater Kailash outlet is intended to accommodate different occasions, from quick lunches and post-work drinks to dates, casual meet-ups and longer evenings with friends.
With three outlets now operational, the brand is targeting 10 stores by the end of 2027. For its founders, the expansion is not only about adding locations but about continuing to evolve the concept based on customer behaviour.
The Greater Kailash outlet represents the latest expression of that approach, combining the smash burgers and grills that established Perilicious with a broader drinks programme and a more expansive social dining environment.
