Phurr, a new vegetarian restaurant in Bangalore, is rapidly gaining a reputation for transforming the city's dining scene. Founded by brothers Aashish and Rahul Lunawat, along with their friend Noor Malik, Phurr is more than just a place to eat—it’s a celebration of creativity, passion, and the potential of vegetarian cuisine.

The journey to Phurr wasn’t straightforward. After their fashion venture failed, the founders turned their attention to their love for food. Countless brainstorming sessions at Bangalore's Airlines Hotel led to the idea of creating a unique vegetarian dining experience. Their first venture, "The Bangalore Cafe," was a hit, but the pandemic forced them to rethink their approach. This led to the birth of Phurr, a modern restaurant named after a song that symbolizes resilience.

Located in Jayanagar, Phurr is designed to be a haven for food lovers. The restaurant’s interior, crafted by a Mumbai-based architectural firm, is as innovative as its menu. Phurr offers a carefully curated selection of dishes that cater to various dietary preferences, including vegan and Jain options. Under the guidance of Chef Sombhir, each dish is meticulously prepared to offer a memorable dining experience. The restaurant also boasts a unique mocktail menu created by mixologist Avinash Kapoli, complementing the culinary offerings.

Signature dishes like Phurr Biryani Nuggets, Ratatouille Gujiya, and Phurrrr (Lucknow Malaiyo) have quickly become favorites among diners. "Our goal was to create a space where people could experience the full spectrum of vegetarian cuisine without ever feeling like they were missing out," says Rahul Lunawat.

In just eight months, Phurr has become one of Bangalore’s most popular dining destinations, with reservations often booked well in advance. As it continues to innovate, Phurr is poised to set new standards in vegetarian fine dining, offering an experience that delights both vegetarians and food enthusiasts alike.
