Phygital Retail Convention (PRC) 2025, India's premier retail intelligence event, is all set to make a grand return on May 7-8, 2025, at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai. Presented by Inorbit Malls and powered by Mufti, the 6th edition of PRC will revolve around the theme, “Infinite India - The World’s Fastest Growing Retail Market.”
Positioned as the largest gathering of retail minds, PRC 2025 promises a two-day deep dive into innovation, ideation, and growth opportunities with over 1000 participating brands and companies. Year after year, the convention draws over 3000 top retail professionals, making it the ultimate hub for knowledge exchange, networking, and business development, spread across a spectacular 1-lakh-plus sq.ft venue.

Hyatt Regency Chandigarh has announced two new appointments to strengthen its core leadership team—Mr. Sahil Mor as the new Front Office Manager and Mr. Sundera Moorthy Paulsamy as the Director of Engineering.
With over nine years of industry experience, Sahil Mor brings a strong foundation in front office operations and a people-first approach to guest service. He began his hospitality journey in 2016 at JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa and has since worked with prominent brands such as Roseate Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Jaipur, Novotel Jaipur & Exhibition Centre, and IHCL – Taj Hotels Ahmedabad. Known for his warm leadership style and ability to build meaningful guest and colleague relationships, Sahil aims to create a welcoming and seamless experience for every visitor.
Commenting on his appointment, Ashwini Kumar, General Manager of Hyatt Regency Chandigarh, shared, “We are excited to welcome Sahil Mor to the Hyatt family. His guest-centric approach, operational expertise, and infectious positivity are a perfect fit for our culture. We are confident he will help drive service excellence.”
Outside work, Sahil enjoys reading and spending time with his dog. He also looks forward to growing in the hospitality industry by being part of a culture that values people.
Mr. Sundera Moorthy Paulsamy, fondly known as Moorthy, who has taken charge as the Director of Engineering. Moorthy brings over 22 years of experience in engineering operations and sustainability, having worked with respected properties such as The Oberoi Vanyavilas, Trident Jaipur, Ananda in the Himalayas, Leela Palace Chennai, and The Park Chennai. His most recent role was at Alila Hinu Bay in Oman, a Hyatt property, where he played a key role in optimizing engineering processes and sustainability initiatives.
Moorthy’s career is marked by his ability to enhance operational efficiencies, oversee preventive maintenance, and implement green solutions. He is also known for his leadership in complex renovation projects and his focus on safety and compliance.
“We are thrilled to welcome Moorthy to our Hyatt family,” said Ashwini Kumar. “His vast expertise, hands-on approach, and passion for innovation make him an invaluable addition to our leadership team.”
Outside of his professional life, Moorthy enjoys reading, spending time with loved ones, and pursuing outdoor adventures like trekking and hiking—especially in the Himalayas, which he hopes to explore further.
With these two strategic appointments, Hyatt Regency Chandigarh continues to build a strong and dynamic team committed to delivering world-class guest experiences and operational excellence.
Jaisalmer Marriott Resort & Spa has announced the appointment of Sanjeev Kapoor as its new general manager. In this role, he will lead all facets of the resort’s operations, infusing new energy and strategic direction to enhance guest satisfaction and drive performance at this premier luxury destination in Rajasthan’s Golden City.
With over 25 years of global experience, Kapoor is a dynamic and conscientious hospitality leader who has worked across Australia, India, the Middle East, and Thailand. His career includes leadership roles with esteemed brands such as Hyatt International, Marriott Hotels, Leela Palaces Hotels, and Choice Hotels Asia-Pacific.
Kapoor’s expertise spans a wide range of functions, including rooms operations, sales, revenue and distribution, food and beverage, and finance. Known for his visionary leadership and passion for excellence, he has successfully led high-end city hotels, luxury resorts, multi-property operations, and pre-opening projects.
Before joining Marriott International, he served as senior performance manager – area director at Choice Hotels, where he played a pivotal role in driving the performance of upscale franchise hotels across Australia. Reporting directly to the CEO, he led strategic consulting initiatives, financial optimisation, and operational excellence. He also spearheaded expansion efforts, asset management, and stakeholder engagement to improve service standards and profitability across the region.
In his new position at Jaisalmer Marriott Resort & Spa, Kapoor will focus on operational excellence, team development, and delivering elevated guest experiences, strengthening the resort’s position as a leading hospitality destination in Rajasthan.
The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace has announced the appointment of Jayeesha Merchant as its associate director of marketing communications. With over ten years of experience in luxury hospitality marketing, Merchant brings deep expertise in brand positioning, digital marketing, media relations, and strategic communications.
Before taking on this new role, she held key leadership positions at renowned hospitality brands including ITC Kohenur, Marriott Hyderabad Hotel & Convention Centre, Crowne Plaza Pune City Centre, DoubleTree by Hilton Pune, and Hyatt Regency Pune. At each of these properties, she successfully drove brand visibility, led impactful campaigns, and built strategic partnerships that enhanced guest engagement and brand equity.
Her dynamic experience and forward-thinking marketing strategies have helped her carve a strong niche in the competitive hospitality industry.
