Pride Hotels Group recently celebrated its Founder's Day with spirited festivities across its properties, intertwining the celebrations with meaningful CSR initiatives. This day not only marks the birthday of Mr. S. P. Jain, the Chairman and Managing Director of Pride Hotels Group, but also commemorates the founding anniversary of the group’s first property, Pride Hotel Pune. Over the years, Pride Hotels has evolved into one of India’s most trusted hospitality brands, and this celebration reflects its unwavering journey towards excellence in the hospitality sector.
As a highlight of the Founder's Day festivities, Pride Hotels Group introduced the A.S.P.I.R.E ED Programme, an ambitious initiative designed to address the growing talent gap within the hospitality industry. The Advance Skills Programme in Real-time Excellence in Education and Development (A.S.P.I.R.E ED) targets young individuals who have completed their 12th grade but have not pursued higher education or entered the hospitality field. This three-month programme provides a structured curriculum focusing on education, skill development, and hands-on practical training, preparing participants for entry-level positions in the hospitality sector.
Leading the A.S.P.I.R.E ED Programme are Jayesh Wadher, Culture & Talent Head, and Shailendra Dharme, Learning & Development Head of Pride Hotels Group. Their expertise is set to shape a comprehensive learning experience that equips participants with the essential skills and knowledge required to thrive in the industry. This initiative aligns with Pride Hotels' vision of creating a sustainable talent pipeline that not only addresses immediate workforce needs but also contributes to the long-term growth of the hospitality industry.
Mr. S. P. Jain expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "The A.S.P.I.R.E ED Programme reflects our commitment to empowering young professionals with the skills necessary to succeed in the hospitality industry. By offering structured education and training, we are helping to build a future generation of leaders who will uphold the values of excellence, service, and innovation that are at the core of Pride Hotels."
With a presence in 60 hotels across 58 prime locations in India, Pride Hotels Group is renowned for providing diverse hospitality experiences. The group’s properties feature 5,500 guest rooms and 3.25 lakh square feet of luxurious banquet space, making them ideal for large conferences, weddings, and intimate gatherings. Their longstanding reputation for quality service and guest satisfaction solidifies their position as one of the most trusted names in Indian hospitality.
The launch of the A.S.P.I.R.E ED Programme extends Pride Hotels Group’s commitment to community development and industry growth. This initiative aims to address the shortage of skilled professionals in the hospitality sector by cultivating a robust talent pool of well-trained individuals. The programme is designed to equip participants with practical, industry-specific knowledge, ensuring they are prepared for the evolving demands of the sector.
Mr. Atul Upadhyay, Executive Vice President of the group, added, "The A.S.P.I.R.E ED Programme is a key initiative as Pride Hotels Group continues to expand. We recognize the need for fresh talent with vibrant ideas and new perspectives to invigorate the hospitality industry. This programme is designed to nurture and cultivate that talent, helping bring innovative ideas into the sector. By fostering creativity and equipping young professionals with the right skills, we are confident this initiative will benefit not only the participants but also infuse the industry with fresh energy and innovation."
The unveiling of the A.S.P.I.R.E ED Programme underscores Pride Hotels Group's forward-thinking approach to talent development and social responsibility. As the hospitality industry continues to grow and evolve, the group remains dedicated to upholding the highest standards of service while contributing to the development of future industry leaders.
Since its inception in 1988, Pride Hotels Group has become a cornerstone of India's hospitality industry, combining luxury with a deep connection to India’s cultural heritage. With offerings that range from luxury hotels and resorts to boutique properties under the brands Pride Plaza, Pride Premier, Pride Elite, and Biznotel by Pride, the group provides a variety of hospitality experiences tailored for both business and leisure travelers. D.A.T.A Resort by Della, India’s first and only military-themed luxury glamping resort, is one of the most innovative concepts in the country’s hospitality landscape. Despite its exceptional offering, the resort has remained largely unspoken about for years. Tucked deep inside Lonavala’s natural beauty, the property redefines immersive travel with a rare blend of military-inspired adventure and five-star comfort. As travellers increasingly seek meaningful and experience-driven journeys, the unique story of this resort is now finding its well-deserved spotlight.
The experience begins with its 27 luxurious, 500 sq. ft. military-themed glamping tents overlooking the serene Shirota Lake. Each tent follows a design style inspired by military elements, while still offering premium comfort and elegance. One of the resort’s standout aspects is its training programmes led by ex-military commandos. These curated activities give guests the opportunity to experience discipline, resilience, teamwork, and patriotic energy in a structured and safe environment. Families, couples, and corporate groups use the space for transformational outbound programmes that blend adventure with reflection, making the resort a benchmark for experiential hospitality.
The reason such a revolutionary concept has remained under the radar lies in its intention and design. Its remote natural setting, limited inventory, and carefully selected guest base have contributed to its quiet presence. More importantly, the resort was never created for mass exposure; it was built as a purpose-driven, immersive destination for travellers seeking deeper experiences beyond mainstream tourism. Many guests describe it as a “hidden gem,” and its quiet success reflects the quality and impact of what it offers.
With experiential and story-focused travel becoming popular in India, the resort is now being highlighted for what it truly represents. Its authenticity, military-inspired programming, and pioneering design bring a new dimension to luxury hospitality. D.A.T.A Resort blends purpose with indulgence, adventure with introspection, and ensures guests leave with growth, connection, and perspective.
The resort is the brainchild of Jimmy Mistry, a renowned designer, hotelier, and social entrepreneur. His vision introduced India to a completely new hospitality format long before experiential stays and themed travel became mainstream. By combining rugged adventure, discipline, and strong storytelling with luxury experiences, D.A.T.A Resort created a category of its own. Even with its groundbreaking concept, it has intentionally stayed away from large-scale visibility, focusing instead on intimate and high-quality experiences for discerning guests.
