Pune Gas, a leading player in commercial and industrial gas systems, has marked a major milestone by opening North India’s first dedicated commercial and industrial LPG and Natural Gas Experience Centre in Okhla, Delhi. This is Pune Gas’ first owned centre and seventh overall, signalling a strong foray into the northern market.
The launch event saw the presence of Mr. Jaisinh Sampat, Founder & Managing Director, along with Mr. Jesal Sampat (Executive Director), Mr. Bhaven Udeshi (Director of Sales), Mrs. Radhika Oza (Director of Projects), and the North India team, underscoring the company’s commitment to growth in the region.
The new Delhi centre will act as a hub for businesses across Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, offering hands-on demonstrations, expert consultations, and end-to-end solutions — from vaporizers to advanced gas safety systems.
Driving Cleaner, Efficient Energy Use
India consumed over 30,900 TMT of LPG in FY23, yet only 16% of this was by industrial and commercial sectors, many of which still rely on diesel, furnace oil, or even wood. In North India alone, over 7.12 lakh commercial LPG users face inefficiencies like cylinder freezing, losing 3–4 kg of gas daily. Pune Gas’ flagship LPGenius system directly addresses this, ensuring steady vaporisation and up to 30% savings on LPG costs.
Speaking at the launch, Mr. Jaisinh Sampat said, “Delhi’s strategic position as an industrial and commercial hub makes it the perfect base. As MSMEs and industries grow, our mission is to drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability. With our systems already helping save nearly ₹1,400 crore annually by reducing fuel wastage, we’re excited to deepen our footprint here.”
Echoing this, Mr. Jesal Sampat added, “Through our Experience Centres, we are bridging the knowledge gap and making smart gas systems accessible to businesses of all sizes. As energy costs rise and sustainability norms tighten, industries need smarter, cleaner alternatives — exactly what we bring to the table.”
What’s Inside Delhi’s Experience Centre?
Visitors to the new centre can explore:
LPGenius: The world’s first Smart LPG system, Made in India, designed for LOT 47.5 kg cylinders, ensuring no freezing and major cost savings — perfect for commercial kitchens and industries.
FuelFusion: A unique dual-fuel solution allowing diesel generators to run partly on LPG, slashing diesel usage without heavy retrofitting.
LeakCheck: A sleek, precise gas leak detection system enhancing safety for hotels, restaurants, and large facilities.
About Pune Gas
With a four-decade legacy, Pune Gas leads in gas-based energy systems, serving sectors from hospitality to manufacturing across India and 20 global markets. Their focus: cutting operational costs, boosting efficiency, and enabling a smooth shift to cleaner energy.
As Pune Gas rolls out its Delhi centre, it sets the stage for wider adoption of sustainable, cost-efficient gas systems across North India’s booming commercial and hospitality landscape.

William Grant & Sons (WG&S) has announced the appointment of Kartik Mohindra as Managing Director for its India operations, marking a strategic move in strengthening the brand’s leadership in one of its key global markets.
Mohindra brings with him over 26 years of rich experience in marketing and sales, having worked extensively in the alcohol, beverage, and FMCG sectors. Prior to joining WG&S, he held the role of Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Global Business Development at Pernod Ricard India, where he played a pivotal role in reshaping business performance and driving international brand expansion.
During his tenure at Pernod Ricard, Mohindra led successful brand strategies that elevated the market presence of iconic labels such as Chivas Regal, The Glenlivet, Absolut, Blenders Pride, Royal Stag, Imperial Blue, Jameson, Jacob’s Creek Wines, and 100 Pipers. He also spearheaded brand-led innovation across multiple categories, from whiskies to wines and beyond.
This leadership transition follows Sachin Mehta’s move to an international role within WG&S as Managing Director, Canada. Over the past nine years, Mehta has played a significant role in strengthening WG&S’s position in India, contributing to robust business growth and establishing leadership for the brand’s premium spirits portfolio.
Commenting on the development, Doug Bagley, Chief Commercial Officer at WG&S, said,
“These appointments reflect WG&S’ continued investment in key growth markets and a commitment to strengthening our global leadership team. We are excited to welcome Kartik to our team in India – a strategically important market for us. Driven by his expertise, we’re confident that we will further build on the great progress Sachin and the team have made in India in recent years.”
As the company deepens its focus on India’s evolving premium spirits landscape, Mohindra’s appointment is expected to usher in a new phase of innovation and market expansion for William Grant & Sons.
Crowne Plaza New Delhi Mayur Vihar has welcomed Mohammad Muneer as the new Director of Sales and Marketing. Alongside leading the commercial strategy for the property, Muneer has also taken on a regional responsibility as Area Champion – Sales and Marketing, Southwest Asia for IHG Hotels & Resorts. In this dual role, he will spearhead collaboration and drive performance across multiple hotels in one of IHG’s key growth zones.
With over 18 years in the hospitality industry, Muneer brings an extensive portfolio of leadership experiences. He has worked with some of the most reputed hotel brands including Shangri-La, Taj, The Westin, Le Méridien, and Sheraton.
