Radisson Hotel Group Expands India Presence with 21 New Signings in 2023

In a move to solidify its footprint in India, Radisson Hotel Group made significant strides in 2023 with the signing of 21 hotels across nine brands, accelerating its growth trajectory in the country. Among the highlights was the introduction of the first Radisson Collection in India, scheduled to welcome guests in 2024, marking the Group's entry into the South Asian luxury market.

The Group also celebrated the signing and opening of the inaugural internationally branded hotel in Ayodhya – Park Inn by Radisson Ayodhya, capitalizing on the region's newfound prominence following recent events.

Globally, Radisson Hotel Group achieved remarkable growth, adding over 30,000 keys to its international portfolio, a nearly 50% increase since the launch of its 2018 transformation plan. The Radisson Blu brand maintained its position as the largest upper upscale brand in Europe for the 12th consecutive year, while the Radisson brand continued its rapid expansion.

In India, the Group continues to enjoy a first-mover advantage in key pilgrim destinations, with plans to introduce branded hotels in Vrindavan and Ujjain. Notable signings include two new hotels in Hyderabad and Srinagar under the Radisson Collection brand, set to be operational by 2026 and 2024 respectively.

With a strategic focus on tier-II and tier-III cities, Radisson Hotel Group signed 10 new properties targeting expansion in locations such as Raipur, Sonamarg, Sonipat, Navi Mumbai, and more. Additionally, Radisson Resorts, through Radisson Individuals Retreats, caters to the modern Indian traveler with experiential stays in key destinations like Chail, Palchan, and Mandrem.

Park Inn and Suites by Radisson expanded its presence in the southern region of India with five new signings, emphasizing heartfelt hospitality to guests.

Elie Younes, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer at Radisson Hotel Group, expressed gratitude to owners and guests for fueling growth, reaffirming the Group's commitment to deepening its presence in the Indian market. K.B. Kachru, Chairman Emeritus & Principal Advisor, highlighted the strong growth trajectory set in 2023 and emphasized strategic objectives focused on expanding roots and fortifying presence in untapped markets.
