In a strategic move to elevate the tourism sector, Saudi Arabia is set to embrace cutting-edge Augmented Reality (AR) navigation technology. ARway.ai, in collaboration with AI Safer, aims to enhance the visitor experience at Saudi Arabian museums and tourist destinations, aligning with the nation's ambitious "Vision 2030" plan to fortify the culture and tourism industries.
ARway.ai's innovative solution provides a unique and immersive approach to on-site customer experiences. Utilizing phone cameras, visitors can create personalized wayfinding visuals, enabling seamless navigation through various spaces. The technology also displays location-specific information graphics, adding depth to the overall experience.
AI Safer, affiliated with The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts in Saudi Arabia, plans to roll out this technology for guests starting March 2024. The no-code platform offered by ARway simplifies the creation of these wayfinding visuals, providing an efficient and user-friendly solution.
Evan Gappelberg, CEO of ARway, expressed enthusiasm about introducing AR navigation to Saudi Arabia, stating, "Our technology will enable visitors to explore museums and attractions in an entirely new way, making each visit more informative, interactive, and enjoyable."
This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia's broader economic diversification plan, Vision 2030, which prioritizes the development of cultural and tourism sectors. The AR navigation system is poised to guide visitors through exhibits, offering contextual information and interactive elements to enrich their understanding of Saudi Arabia's cultural heritage.
The implementation of ARway's navigation technology is scheduled to commence in March 2024, marking a significant stride toward creating a more engaging and accessible tourism landscape in Saudi Arabia.
