Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd (ROHL) continues its expansion in East India with the inauguration of its first hotel in Odisha, Regenta Central, located in the coastal city of Puri. This marks ROHL's fourth venture in East India and signifies a strategic move to tap into the region's growing tourism sector.
Regenta Central is ideally situated only 50 meters from Puri’s Golden Beach, offering guests unique access to one of the area's most beautiful natural resources. The hotel aims to become a favored choice for travelers seeking spiritual, wellness, or cultural experiences in Odisha, a state rich in heritage and religious significance.
Chander K Baljee, Chairman and Managing Director of ROHL, commented on the expansion, stating, "The launch of Regenta Central in Odisha marks a significant milestone as we continue on an aggressive expansion mode for this fiscal year. We have recently announced new hotel openings in Kasauli, Surat, and Mumbai, and anticipate more in the near future."
The hotel is located 5 kilometers from the Puri Railway Station and close to the iconic Lord Jagannatha Temple, also known as Srikhetram. This proximity makes Regenta Central a convenient and appealing option for visitors who wish to explore the spiritual life of Puri.
Regenta Central features 55 elegantly designed rooms across four categories, each offering balconies or sit-outs with sea views. This addition to ROHL’s portfolio is designed to cater to the diverse needs of its guests, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay.
Arjun Baljee, President of ROHL, expressed enthusiasm about the new opening, saying, "With the opening of Regenta Central in Puri, we are well on our way to launching 35 new hotels this year. Set in the peaceful Himalayan foothills near Nainital, the newly added retreat offers a quiet and intimate stay experience. Spread across 2.5 acres of terraced orchards, Amaraya is designed as a boutique escape with just 11 thoughtfully designed suites.

ITC Hotels has expanded its experiential brand Storii with the signing of Storii Mukundgarh Fort, further strengthening its presence in Rajasthan.
Located in the culturally rich Shekhawati region, the property reflects the brand’s focus on immersive, place-led hospitality rooted in heritage and storytelling. The addition brings a distinctive historic destination into the Storii portfolio, known for its curated and experience-driven stays.

Kerten Hospitality is set to enter the Indian market as part of its next phase of global growth, bringing its portfolio of lifestyle-driven hotel brands to the country.
With a strong presence across the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, the Ireland-headquartered group is planning to introduce its concepts in India with an initial target of 1,000 keys. This move marks a major step in its expansion strategy, as the company looks to tap into India’s growing demand for experience-led hospitality.
As part of its India entry, Kerten Hospitality will introduce three of its brands, The House Hotel, a bespoke luxury offering rooted in local culture; Cloud7 Hotels, a design-focused lifestyle concept; and HOSME, which combines affordability with a social hospitality approach.
