Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd. (ROHL) has added another jewel to its portfolio with the unveiling of Velmore by Royal Orchid in Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh. Positioned as a luxury hillside retreat, Velmore promises a rejuvenating escape amidst the tranquillity of the Himalayan pine forests.
Chander K Baljee, Chairman & Managing Director of ROHL, expressed his excitement about the opening of Velmore, highlighting the enchanting allure of Kasauli and its significance as his ancestral state. Velmore by Royal Orchid is designed to cater to families and groups, offering 38 meticulously designed rooms with breathtaking forest views. The hotel features various room categories, including spacious 3-bedroom cottages, ensuring a comfortable stay for guests of all preferences.
Guests can indulge in a range of leisure activities, including trekking, nature walks, and swimming, while the fully-equipped gaming zone provides entertainment for all ages. Additionally, a new spa is set to enhance the wellness experience at the property, further elevating guest satisfaction.

Alivaa Hotels & Resorts has announced its entry into Kashmir with the launch of its first property in Srinagar, marking a significant milestone in the group’s expansion journey.
Developed in partnership with Al Shaykh Resorts, the boutique property has been introduced under Alivaa’s rapidly growing brand, The Hoften. Known for delivering contemporary, comfort-driven stays, The Hoften’s arrival in Srinagar reflects the brand’s focus on expanding into India’s most iconic travel destinations.
This launch also marks the beginning of a larger regional growth strategy, with plans to introduce 10 additional properties across Kashmir in the coming years.
Kashmir continues to emerge as a key tourism hub, attracting travellers with its scenic landscapes, including the iconic Dal Lake, alpine meadows, and rich cultural heritage. Lyfe Hotels has expanded its dining portfolio in Bhubaneswar with the launch of HI-Lyfe, a rooftop restaurant and bar that blends scenic views, global flavours, and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere. Marking the brand’s third dining destination in the city, the new space is designed for easy evenings that move from calm sunsets to energetic nights.
Set against wide views of the city skyline, HI-Lyfe introduces one of Bhubaneswar’s early Mediterranean-inspired dining experiences. The menu brings together flavours from Italy, Morocco, Turkey, Lebanon, and Spain, focusing on grilled dishes, fresh ingredients, and shareable plates that encourage a social dining style.
The food spread features a mix of well-loved Mediterranean dishes such as charred harissa prawns, Turkish lamb koftas, Lebanese mezze platters, wood-fired flatbreads, and Spanish-style patatas bravas. Alongside these are lighter small plates that add variety and keep the experience interactive at the table.
The bar menu is equally engaging, with cocktails inspired by Mediterranean regions and cultures. Signature drinks include Medina Flame, a blend of pomegranate, cinnamon and whiskey; Zagora Orchard with apricot and dark rum; and Nomad’s Trail, a spiced bourbon-forward mix. For lighter options, Riad Reverie combines floral notes of rose and lavender, while Aegean Breeze offers a refreshing citrus touch suited for early evenings.
The space is designed to shift smoothly from relaxed to lively, with ambient lighting, curated music, and an open-air layout that creates both comfort and energy. It works well for casual catch-ups as well as larger social gatherings, adapting to different moods through the evening.
