In a significant move for the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd (IRCTC), Mr. Sanjay Kumar Jain, a seasoned Indian Railway Traffic Services (IRTS) Officer of the 1990 batch, has taken on the key position of Chairman & Managing Director. With a career spanning over three decades, Mr. Jain brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of exemplary leadership within the Ministry of Railways and public sector undertakings (PSUs).

Mr. Jain's journey reflects his dynamic leadership and expertise in policy formulation, commercial ventures, and developmental initiatives across diverse government sectors. As a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), he has made significant contributions in pivotal roles such as Principal Chief Commercial Manager at Northern Railway, Group General Manager (North Zone) at IRCTC, and Divisional Railway Manager at Mumbai Central Railway.

During his tenure at IRCTC, Mr. Jain spearheaded groundbreaking initiatives that redefined luxury travel experiences, including enhancing the Maharajas’ Express and introducing India’s first ‘Executive Lounge’ at New Delhi Railway Station. Under his leadership, the tourism business of IRCTC in the North Zone witnessed exponential growth, reflecting his strategic vision and innovative marketing approaches.

As Divisional Railway Manager in Mumbai, Mr. Jain demonstrated exceptional leadership in managing one of the largest suburban railway networks, catering to millions of commuters daily. His commitment to cleanliness and heritage conservation was exemplified by initiatives like the Swachhata Mission and the restoration of Mumbai’s Byculla Railway Station, recognized with prestigious awards including UNESCO’s Asia Pacific Cultural Heritage Award.

Mr. Jain's tenure was also marked by initiatives promoting gender equality and environmental sustainability, such as establishing the first all-women-run railway station at Matunga, Mumbai, and launching the “Muck Special” train for garbage collection along railway lines. His focus on passenger amenities and sustainable development reflects his commitment to enhancing the overall railway experience while ensuring environmental stewardship.

Mr. Jain’s contributions have been duly acknowledged by the Ministry of Railways, with prestigious awards including the Minister of Railways Award for Meritorious Services, underscoring his dedication and impact on the railway ecosystem.

She began her career with ITC Hotels and The Oberoi Group, where she developed a strong foundation in hospitality sales. Most recently, she served as general manager, sales, North India at Lemon Tree & Aurika Hotels, successfully leading sales strategies for 32 hotels and spearheading the launch of their luxury brand.

This appointment marks her first role with Marriott International. At The Westin Goa, Mittoo’s focus will be on positioning the resort as a destination of choice in Goa while building on Westin’s wellness-infused philosophy and the vibrant spirit of the region. She envisions establishing the property as the benchmark for wellness-driven luxury in India.

Mr. Rahuul Jaggiasi has been named Cluster General Manager – Nashik & Sambhajinagar. With over 20 years of experience, he is recognised for his expertise in brand building, pre-openings, operations, and luxury guest experiences. An alumnus of IHM-Aurangabad, affiliated with Huddersfield University, UK, Rahuul began his career with the Taj Group of Hotels. Over the years, he has held leadership roles with Lemon Tree Hotels, Pride Group of Hotels, Marriott International, Concept Hospitality, ITC Hotels’ Mementos Ekaaya Udaipur, and Ananta Spa & Resort Jaipur. Most recently, he was associated with Foodlink F&B Holdings, where he focused on expanding luxury catering and experiential dining in South India. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening operations, driving strategic growth, and enhancing guest experiences across the Nashik and Sambhajinagar properties.

Alongside this, Mr. Parikshit Shouche has been appointed as General ManagerSales, Nashik Region. With 21 years of experience in hospitality sales, Parikshit has developed strong expertise in revenue generation and market expansion. An alumnus of MGV’s College of Hotel Management & Technologies, Nashik, he also holds a B.A. in History. He began his career with Taj Residency and went on to work with Ginger Hotels and Express Inn. At Ibis Nashik, he served for more than a decade in multiple roles, eventually becoming Director of Sales. Most recently, he was associated with Courtyard by Marriott as Director of Sales & Marketing. In his new position, he will lead sales strategies, strengthen market presence, and drive business growth for Treat Hotels & Resorts.

These appointments mark a strategic step for Treat Hotels & Resorts as it builds a robust leadership team to deliver exceptional hospitality and further its vision for growth in key markets.
