Sayaji Kolhapur welcomed the festive season with an enchanting Tree Lighting Ceremony, delighting guests with an evening filled with joy, unity, and festive cheer. At the heart of the celebration was the city's longest Christmas tree, which served as the event's centerpiece and a symbol of the holiday spirit.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome by Mukesh Kumar Rakshit, General Manager of Sayaji Kolhapur, along with the hotel’s Heads of Departments and staff. Together, they greeted guests and set the tone for an evening that would celebrate the essence of Christmas.
“This tree lighting ceremony symbolizes more than just the start of the festive season. It represents the spirit of unity, joy, and togetherness that defines the essence of Christmas. We are proud to bring this tradition to Sayaji Kolhapur and share the warmth of the season with all of you,” said Mukesh Kumar Rakshit during the event.
The ceremonial lighting of the tree was a magical moment, led by Rakshit and esteemed guests, who collectively ignited the spirit of the season. The tree, adorned with sparkling lights and festive decorations, illuminated the night and created an enchanting atmosphere for all attendees.
Following the tree lighting, guests were treated to a specially curated Christmas-themed High Tea, featuring a delectable spread of festive treats prepared by Kishan Gunjal, Area Executive Chef. From warm beverages to seasonal delicacies, the high tea added to the evening’s celebratory ambiance, offering guests a delightful experience.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Thank You note, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their presence and support in making the evening special. The Tree Lighting Ceremony at Sayaji Kolhapur not only marked the start of the festive season but also brought together the community in a shared moment of joy and celebration.

Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd. (ROHL) is taking experiential hospitality to a whole new level with the signing of Regenta Resort Tropical Village in Mysore. This one-of-its-kind resort will offer a globally inspired village experience, combining sustainability with immersive cultural storytelling.
Set amidst lush natural surroundings, the newly signed property will operate under ROHL’s franchise model as part of its asset-light growth strategy. The resort will feature 35 themed cottages, each inspired by the unique architecture, cuisine, and lifestyle of different continents—offering guests a passport-free global experience. Adding to the charm is Mangala Kutira, a dedicated block of 12 rooms that will celebrate India’s Pancha Bhootas and Pancha Tattva, giving visitors a deep dive into ancient Indian philosophy and design.

The resort aims to attract both business and leisure travellers. It will include an all-day dining restaurant, a specialty kitchen for non-vegetarian cuisine, and a Healthy Bar serving detox juices and traditional wellness drinks. In line with its eco-conscious approach, the property will also feature a natural swimming pool, traditional games from across continents, and a children’s play area.
For those seeking relaxation and rejuvenation, there’s a Yoga Hall, a full-service Wellness Centre, and banqueting spaces including a lush 12,000 sq. ft. outdoor lawn, ideal for events and celebrations.
