Sir Orrick’s Irish Whiskey, a premium triple-distilled Irish whiskey, has made its India debut through Indian importer and premium spirits company Mehra Wines Pvt. Ltd.

Crafted in Ireland, the whiskey is triple distilled and matured in carefully selected barrels, with bourbon and sherry cask finishing contributing to its flavour profile. The brand positions the expression around traditional Irish whiskey-making combined with a contemporary approach to premium spirits.

At the centre of the brand identity is Sir Orrick, the Knight of the Barrels, a fictional character created around the idea of dedication to whiskey craftsmanship. The brand's philosophy, “Quality is an oath, not a claim,” reflects its emphasis on craftsmanship, maturation and character.

An Irish Whiskey Shaped by Maturation

According to the brand, Sir Orrick’s presents aromas of vanilla cream, honey and fresh orchard fruit, with pear, green apple and lemon zest. On the palate, the whiskey combines notes of vanilla, toffee, apple, pear and malt biscuit, followed by light oak spice and a creamy texture.

The finish is described as smooth, with notes of sweet grain, dry oak and pepper. The whiskey can be served neat, over ice or used in cocktails.

The bottle design draws on the brand's “Knight of the Barrels” identity, combining traditional whiskey cues with a contemporary premium aesthetic.

The Knight’s Club Marks India Debut

To introduce the brand to the Indian market, Sir Orrick’s hosted The Knight’s Club at Arts Room, Eldeco Centre, Delhi.

The launch event brought together whiskey, craft and storytelling through a series of brand-led experiences. Guests were introduced to the whiskey through tasting-led interactions and the symbolic Clover Key, before the evening culminated in the unveiling of the bottle and a collective “Sláinte!”

Actor and television personality Cyrus Broacha took on the role of Sir Orrick, the Knight of the Barrels, helping bring the brand character to life during its first Indian chapter.

Mehra Wines Expands Premium Spirits Portfolio

Sir Orrick’s is being brought to India by Mehra Wines Pvt. Ltd., led by brothers Tushar Mehra and Pranav Mehra.
