In a powerful collaboration for environmental change, the Smiling Tree Foundation, led by Dr. Mukesh Kwatra, joined hands with Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT), Rajouri Garden, Delhi, for a large-scale plantation drive. Held with great enthusiasm, the initiative saw nearly 500 saplings being planted across the campus, reflecting a strong commitment to a greener tomorrow.
The event was graced by S. Amarjit Singh, Chairman of GTBIT, and Dr. Rominder Kaur Randhawa, Director of GTBIT, alongside Prof. Dr. P.P. Vermani and other senior faculty members. In a thoughtful gesture, planters were gifted to all participants by Smiling Tree.
While S. Harmeet Singh Kalka Ji, President of DSGMC, and S. Jagdeep Singh Khalon Ji, General Secretary of DSGMC, could not attend, they sent in their wishes and full support for the campaign’s success.
Dr. Randhawa, who played a key role in spearheading the initiative, emphasized,
“It is our responsibility to instill sustainable values in the next generation. We are proud to collaborate with Smiling Tree in nurturing not just trees, but a culture of environmental stewardship.”
Echoing the sentiment, Sardar Amarjit Singh called the initiative a form of selfless service, stating,
“Planting trees is a sewa — a selfless service to humanity and the environment. This drive is a reflection of our values and collective responsibility.”
Dr. Mukesh Kwatra, the visionary behind Smiling Tree, highlighted the importance of collective action and community-driven impact.
“At Smiling Tree, we believe in action backed by awareness. Every sapling planted today is a promise of a better tomorrow.”
The saplings planted included native, flowering, and fruit-bearing trees, carefully selected for their environmental and visual impact. This event marks yet another meaningful milestone in Smiling Tree’s mission to create greener, healthier spaces across Delhi-NCR and beyond.

Radisson Blu Hotels Ahmedabad recently transformed a regular morning at the city’s vibrant riverfront into an inspiring display of community, compassion, and purpose. As part of Radisson’s South Asia Community Action Month 2025, the hotel hosted “A Day for a Cause,” a cyclothon that welcomed nearly 40 participants, including staff, families, and hotel guests.
The event, themed “One Day. One Cause.”, was designed as a non-competitive 6-kilometer ride focused on promoting wellness, green mobility, and raising funds for the Radisson India People Foundation. The atmosphere was filled with energy and optimism as riders came together not just to cycle, but to support a larger mission of social responsibility and unity.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Saurabh Bhatnagar, General Manager of Radisson Blu Ahmedabad, expressed his pride in the turnout and the event’s message. “It was truly heartening to see our team members and guests come together for a cause greater than ourselves. This ride wasn't just about cycling, it was a celebration of community spirit, wellness, and compassion. We are proud to contribute to an initiative that makes a real difference.”
The cyclothon concluded with refreshments and friendly interactions among participants, reinforcing the core idea behind the event: coming together to create a positive impact. With wellness and purpose at its core, “A Day for a Cause” marked yet another meaningful chapter in Radisson’s ongoing commitment to community action and social progress.

Adding to this immersive experience is Mangala Kutira, an exclusive accommodation block with 12 rooms designed around India’s ancient Pancha Bhootas and Pancha Tattva philosophies. The goal? To offer a soulful, culturally diverse escape that goes beyond traditional leisure.
Commenting on the launch, Chander K. Baljee, chairman & managing director of ROHL, shared, “We are thrilled to launch Regenta Resort Tropical Villages in Mysore, a city that has always held a special place for us. Built to cater to both leisure and business travellers, the resort features a robust wellness offering with a yoga hall, therapy center, and eco-friendly swimming pool. Culinary diversity also takes centre stage with an all-day dining restaurant, a dedicated non-vegetarian kitchen, and a Healthy Bar serving detox juices and traditional health drinks.
Guests can enjoy traditional games from Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America, while kids have their own play zones. Sprawled across over 12,000 sq. ft. of lush lawns, the resort is also equipped to host destination weddings, corporate events, and intimate gatherings.
