Sterling Holiday Resorts, a prominent name in India’s leisure hospitality sector, has hit a new high in FY25, crossing the ₹5 billion mark in annual revenue for the first time. The company reported a total revenue of ₹5,202 million, reflecting a 13% year-on-year growth, while maintaining a healthy EBITDA margin of 34%. Notably, Sterling remains completely debt-free and has recorded 20 consecutive quarters of profit.
The company’s footprint expanded to 61 resorts with 3,254 rooms across 53 destinations, with new properties launched in Jaisalmer, Tipeshwar, and Amritsar during Q4.
Sterling now operates across 17 Indian states, with strong regional clusters such as 9 resorts each in Kerala and Tamil Nadu, 8 each in Rajasthan and Maharashtra, and 7 in Uttarakhand. The resort themes are diverse, featuring 13 in wildlife destinations, 13 in the Himalayas, and 11 in spiritual circuits. The brand is also strengthening its presence in the bleisure (business + leisure) segment, with properties in Madurai, Karwar, Bokaro, and Dehradun.
Food & Beverage (F&B) revenue crossed ₹1 billion this year, supported by revamped F&B offerings, the addition of specialty restaurants, and increased focus on the banquet business.
Sharing his thoughts, Mr. Vikram Lalvani, MD & CEO, said:
“Crossing ₹5 billion in revenue is a landmark moment for us... We remain focused on delivering high-quality, differentiated experiences as we expand across India through our asset-right strategy.”
On the customer satisfaction front, Sterling continues to shine:
Sterling Kanha won the TripAdvisor Best of the Best Award for the 3rd consecutive year.
30 resorts received the Traveler’s Choice Awards, with 10 winning it for three years in a row.
Sterling Puri, the 121-key flagship property, was named Best Family Resort of the Year at the CMO Asia Odisha Leadership Awards 2025.
Under its Sterling Sankalp ESG initiative, the company made major strides in sustainability and community upliftment:
Energy Efficiency: Heat pumps, EV charging stations, and renewable energy investments
Waste Management: Plastic-free efforts through in-house water bottling in four resorts
Water Conservation: Rainwater harvesting and grey water recycling
CSR: Ongoing support to Fairfax India Charitable Foundation’s “Project Dialysis”, which has helped install over 2,000 dialysis machines across India
A major highlight was Sterling Munnar winning Gold at the 14th RCI Green Awards, becoming the first resort in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific to achieve this recognition.
Looking ahead, Sterling is confident about future growth, with solid demand in domestic tourism, a strong resort pipeline, and ongoing investments in technology, leadership, and people.
