Stone Wood Hotels & Resorts is redefining eco-conscious hospitality by embedding sustainability into every aspect of its operations. The brand is committed to creating a greener future while delivering luxurious and memorable guest experiences.
A major pillar of its green initiatives is the removal of single-use plastics. Guests are welcomed with eco-friendly alternatives, such as glass water bottles, cloth bags, and toiletries in biodegradable packaging. These thoughtful changes reduce waste and promote a responsible stay.
The group’s eco-friendly construction approach includes cottages built with responsibly sourced wood and other locally procured materials, helping to lower transportation emissions and support the regional economy. Designs emphasize natural ventilation and energy-efficient structures, minimizing environmental impact while maintaining comfort and elegance.
Across its properties, Stone Wood Hotels & Resorts prioritizes waste management. Segregation bins for plastic, paper, glass, and organic waste are available throughout the resorts, and both staff and guests are actively engaged in recycling efforts through regular awareness programs.
Food waste reduction is another key focus. Surplus from major events is donated to local charities, and portion sizes are carefully optimized to avoid unnecessary waste while maintaining high culinary standards.
“Caring for the environment is no longer an option but a responsibility,” said Shikhar Kumar, Managing Director of Stone Wood Hotels & Resorts. “Our commitment to eco-friendly hospitality is driven by the belief that luxury and sustainability can coexist.”
Stone Wood Hotels & Resorts continues to set an example in responsible tourism by integrating sustainable practices at its core. Through innovation and a strong focus on waste reduction, the brand is shaping a greener hospitality industry in India while offering world-class services.

Designed for modern travellers, the property features 32 rooms across categories including Deluxe King, Deluxe Twin, and Suite accommodations. The interiors combine clean contemporary aesthetics with functional comfort, catering to both business and leisure guests.
The hotel also houses The Cube, an all-day dining restaurant serving a multi-cuisine menu in a relaxed setting designed for travellers looking to unwind after exploring the region.

Eight Continents Hotels & Resorts has announced the launch of Treetop by Eight Continents - RoyalPine Kasauli, marking a significant expansion of the group’s presence in Himachal Pradesh and strengthening its portfolio of design-led experiential hospitality destinations in India.
The UK-based luxury hospitality and hotel management group, known for its focus on emotique hotels, continues its strategy of developing immersive, culturally rooted, and experience-driven stays across high-potential leisure markets.
Nestled amidst the hills of Kasauli, the 44-key property has been designed to offer uninterrupted valley views and sunset-facing experiences, with architecture that blends contemporary aesthetics with natural materials. Built along a natural gradient, every room has been positioned to maximise scenic vistas and create a strong connection with the surrounding landscape.

The property features a range of lifestyle and wellness offerings including 8 Cafe and a restaurant and microbrewery concept, along with a sunset deck, dedicated gathering spaces, a spa, steam and sauna facilities, an infinity pool, and a 10-seater jacuzzi. The development reflects the growing consumer demand for boutique hospitality experiences that combine wellness, design, and destination-driven travel.
Speaking on the launch, Richa Adhia, Managing Director of Eight Continents Hotels & Resorts, said the addition of RoyalPine Kasauli aligns with the group’s broader strategy of building experience-led destinations in key leisure markets.
