Suntory Global Spirits has made a grand entry into Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport Arrivals with the opening of its largest global travel retail shop-in-shop to date. Developed in partnership with Ospree Duty Free, the 33 sq m specialty store introduces a unique multi-brand, cross-category concept that showcases the breadth of Suntory’s premium spirits portfolio under one inviting roof.
Carefully curated for Mumbai’s diverse traveller demographic, the boutique blends the best of East and West. From Japanese classics like Hakushu and Hibiki to Scotch favorites like Bowmore, and American icons like Maker’s Mark, the display is as diverse as it is immersive. White spirit lovers aren’t left behind either—with spotlight sections dedicated to Haku Vodka and Roku Gin.
“This milestone opening offers a curated selection of truly iconic brands and will allow us to connect more deeply with our global audience,” said Ashish Gandham, Managing Director – Global Travel Retail, Suntory Global Spirits. “With arrivals accounting for 70% of duty-free sales in India, this is a key retail partnership for us.”
More than just a store, the boutique has been designed as an engaging retail destination. Striking wall bays, merchandising pillars, and digital LED displays highlight new launches and limited editions, enhancing the customer experience while driving visibility and sales. Regular activations and promotions will keep the space fresh and exciting.
The collaboration is equally significant for Ospree Duty Free, formerly known as Mumbai Duty Free. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to enhancing the duty-free shopping experience with world-class offerings that cater to the evolving preferences of global travelers,” said a company spokesperson.
This launch reinforces Suntory’s growing presence in Indian travel retail and offers spirits lovers a standout shopping experience right upon arrival.
