Swiss luxury chocolate maker Läderach has opened its first store in Mumbai at Jio World Plaza. This store, the second in India, was launched by Dharampal Satyapal Group (DS Group), the exclusive partner for Läderach in India. The new outlet marks a significant step in the luxury chocolate market, combining DS Group's focus on quality and innovation with Läderach's Swiss craftsmanship to offer an extraordinary experience for Indian consumers.
Läderach, renowned globally for its high-quality Swiss chocolates, is bringing a wide range of handcrafted chocolate bars, pralines, truffles, and exclusive gifting options to Mumbai. The store features the brand's well-known FrischSchoggi, or fresh chocolate, along with various other products, all crafted with care to deliver unique flavors, textures, and aromas that elevate the experience of indulging in fine chocolates.
Sanskriti Gupta from Läderach India shared her enthusiasm, saying, "We are excited to introduce the luxurious experience of Läderach chocolates at Jio World Plaza, our first store in Mumbai. As a strategic market for Läderach, Mumbai has demonstrated exceptional enthusiasm for our brand, evident in the resounding success of our e-commerce offerings. In strategic partnership with the DS Group, we aim to expand our reach and offer the distinctive Läderach experience to a wider Indian audience."
Läderach began its e-commerce operations in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai towards the end of last year, aiming to strengthen its presence in the Indian luxury retail market. The partnership between DS Group and Läderach, announced last year, marked the debut of the Swiss brand in India. It started with the opening of a store at DLF Emporio Mall in Delhi NCR, which offered an immersive in-store experience for customers.
DS Group, a multi-business corporation and a major FMCG player in India, is committed to bringing unique luxury experiences to the Indian market. Established in 1929, DS Group is known for its diverse portfolio, which includes products and services in sectors such as food and beverage, mouth fresheners, luxury retail, hospitality, and agriculture. Some of the well-known brands under its umbrella are Rajnigandha, Catch, Pulse, and Läderach.
The new store at Jio World Plaza is expected to be a significant addition to Mumbai's luxury chocolate market, offering customers an exquisite chocolate experience during the festive season and beyond.

OZEN LIFE MAADHOO has raised the bar for luxury dining in the Maldives with the launch of its new barefoot bistro at Hudhu Bay. The open-air concept blends fine dining with a relaxed, toes-in-the-sand setting, inviting guests on a global culinary journey inspired by Sri Lankan mud crab.
Anupam Banjeree, Vice President of Food & Beverage, explained, “Located in a prime beach setting, we wanted everything about HUDHU BAY to reflect sustainability, from the design to the dishes. The idea was to bring fine dining to the beach, where guests could enjoy exquisite meals barefoot, surrounded by nature.”
The dining experience begins with tropical cocktails crafted by in-house mixologists and crab-inspired amuse-bouche, before guests are seated to explore an extensive mud crab menu. Dishes spotlight flavours from around the world, from À la Provençale Crab with its herb-infused French flair, to Hong Kong Butter Garlic Crab showcasing wok-hei Cantonese cooking.
Other highlights include the iconic Singaporean Chilli Crab, balancing sweet, spicy, and savoury notes, and the fiery Jaffna Spiced Crab, a tribute to Sri Lanka’s Tamil culinary traditions. Guests can also savour Sri Lankan Scampi, rooted in time-honoured coastal recipes.
After dinner, the barefoot journey continues under the stars, with coffee and liqueurs served on the beach in a relaxed après-feast ritual.
OZEN LIFE MAADHOO has placed sustainability at the heart of the concept. From sourcing traceable seafood to eco-friendly décor choices, every detail reflects a commitment to marine conservation and responsible gastronomy.
This philosophy aligns with THE OZEN COLLECTION’s broader approach to redefining luxury dining across its properties from underwater fine dining at M6m to Maldivian heritage cuisine at LONU and authentic Asian flavours at TRADITION PEKING.
Guests can enhance their experience with the resort’s signature INDULGENCE™ Plan, which includes unlimited access to premium beverages, curated wines, and crafted cocktails. With its innovative concept, international flavours, and focus on sustainability, the barefoot bistro at Hudhu Bay is set to become one of the Maldives’ most memorable dining experiences — adding yet another jewel to OZEN LIFE MAADHOO’s world-class culinary portfolio.

In a city buzzing with new-age bars and polished lounges, a fresh entrant is raising its glass to nostalgia. Mirth, a 65-seater tucked just off Indiranagar’s 100 Feet Road, is not chasing trends but rewriting them with heart, history, and handcrafted detail.
Founded by four lifelong friends, Sundeep Reddy, Arasu Elango, Santosh Balan, and Prasanna Govindappa, Mirth is built on twenty-five years of shared pub memories in old Bangalore. Once just an idea in their group chat, it is now a warm, whiskey-rich cocktail bar designed for easy conversations, cosy evenings, and nights that blur seamlessly into laughter.
Once a corporate office, the space has been transformed into a glowing, golden-lit haven with interiors meant to flow as naturally as the drinks. Every corner carries the imprint of the founders’ friendship, creating an atmosphere that feels both personal and contemporary.
The beverage program, crafted by Dev Narveker (Petisco, Goa) and led by Head Mixologist Omkar Vidhyadhar Parab, leans into bold signatures and refined classics. Highlights include Pour Me A Slice (whiskey infused with gouda and blue cheese, swirled with cherry and hibiscus sake), Martini Revolver (a tequila–mezcal mix with house-made jalapeño brine), and Slow Current (a chilli-spiced highball with Gundu pepper and sumac). For lighter sips, options like Clear Intention and Lavender Line add a fizzy, playful edge.
“Start light and finish strong, move from fizzy and fruity to bold and boozy,” says Omkar, laying down the path through Mirth’s cocktail map. The extensive back bar ensures purists won’t feel left out either.
At the helm of the kitchen is Chef Baljeet Singh Mehra, whose stints across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, New Zealand, and top Indian kitchens bring “fusion without confusion” to the table. Expect dishes like Sunny Side South (Mirth’s take on Goa’s Ros Omelette stuffed with Asian chicken, served with Malvani curry), East Meets Mezze (a hummus-edamame-sriracha blend), Crackle Theory pork, and Napoli Heatwave spaghetti in chilli oil.
Each founder brings a unique flavour to the venture, Sundeep Reddy, active partner at Roxie, blends engineering precision with F1 fandom. Arasu Elango, finance professional-turned-nightlife enthusiast, contributes global influences and music sensibilities. Santosh Balan, with 20 years of risk advisory, adds depth alongside his passion for cooking. Prasanna Govindappa, an IT veteran, returned from global assignments to help carve a niche for Mirth.
Together, their shared history is visible in every cocktail, playlist, and plate. Guests may even catch them at the bar, sipping on Mirth’s signature Old Flame (a sherry-whiskey concoction) while digging into wok-tossed chilli basil chicken. In an age of Instagram-driven dining, Mirth is refreshingly old-school, prioritising good music, warm hospitality, bold drinks, and food that comforts while surprising. It’s a neighbourhood bar designed not for flash-in-the-pan trends but for the timeless joy of gathering.
Location:Mirth Bar, 2nd Floor, Ashok Terrace, 303, 100 Feet Road, Indiranagar 1st Stage, Bengaluru – 560038
