The LaLiT Resort & Spa Bekal, part of The LaLiT Suri Hospitality Group, recently hosted an exclusive evening in Mumbai to mark the soft launch of Swasthya Retreat, its newest offering dedicated to holistic wellness. The intimate gathering brought together wellness advocates, travel industry guests and members of the media, offering a preview of a retreat designed to redefine India’s wellness landscape.
Nestled between the serene Nombili River and the Arabian Sea, The LaLiT Bekal has long been recognised as one of India’s most tranquil luxury hideaways. With the introduction of Swasthya Retreat, the resort adds a deeper purpose to luxury, where the journey towards health, balance and renewal becomes personal and meaningful.
Rooted in the philosophy of Swasthya, a Sanskrit term that signifies being in one’s natural state of health, the retreat focuses on harmony between the body, mind and spirit. Conceptualised in collaboration with Spiceology, the programme features six signature wellness retreats including Panchakarma Detox, Pain and Joint Care, Weight Management, Anti-Ageing and Rejuvenation, Geriatric Care, and De-Stress and Burnout Recovery.
Each retreat is curated by experienced Ayurvedic physicians and yoga practitioners, offering personalised therapies, sattvik cuisine, yoga sessions, meditation practices and lifestyle guidance. The experience extends beyond the stay, with pre-arrival consultations and post-retreat follow-ups that ensure continuity and long-term well-being.
Set amidst lush landscapes, The LaLiT Resort & Spa Bekal features 38 luxury suites with private jacuzzis and lagoon views, along with a 20,000 sq. ft. Ayurvedic Spa housing 11 treatment rooms. Guests are encouraged to follow a natural rhythm of living through sunrise yoga, Ayurvedic rituals, locally sourced meals and serene evenings by the backwaters.
Beyond rejuvenation, Swasthya Retreat aims to reconnect guests with their natural balance, aligning closely with The LaLiT’s belief that hospitality should heal and nurture. The retreat also reflects the brand’s commitment to conscious living, with initiatives such as farm-to-table dining, zero-waste kitchens and the preservation of local culture and craftsmanship.
Spanning 26 acres along Kerala’s pristine backwaters, The LaLiT Resort & Spa Bekal stands as a luxury sanctuary celebrating India’s heritage, art and holistic living, offering guests a mindful and immersive wellness experience.
