The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts has appointed Pradeep Kandari as General Manager of The Leela Gandhinagar and Mahatma Mandir Exhibition and Convention Centre (MMCEC), strengthening the leadership team at one of Gujarat's prominent luxury hospitality and convention destinations.

Kandari brings more than two decades of hospitality experience to his new role, with expertise spanning luxury hotel operations, guest experience, business growth and service excellence. At The Leela Gandhinagar and MMCEC, he will focus on enhancing guest experiences, driving business growth and strengthening the property's position within Gujarat's evolving luxury hospitality landscape.

Known for his focus on personalised service and attention to detail, Kandari has been associated with The Leela since January 2023. During his tenure, he has held progressive leadership positions across the brand's Bengaluru portfolio.

Prior to his new appointment, Kandari served as Hotel Manager at The Leela Palace Bengaluru, where he was involved in overseeing hotel operations and guest experiences at the luxury property.

Before joining The Leela, Kandari held leadership roles across several established hospitality brands, including The St. Regis Mumbai, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Le Royal Méridien and Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces. His international experience also includes an assignment with Manchester Marriott, adding to his exposure to global hospitality standards and service practices.

With experience across luxury hospitality environments in India and overseas, Kandari brings a focus on operational excellence and understanding evolving expectations among luxury travellers to his new role in Gandhinagar.

The appointment comes as Gujarat continues to develop as a destination for MICE, weddings, business travel and leisure tourism, with Gandhinagar's convention infrastructure playing a role in attracting large-scale events and gatherings.
