The Leela Palace Bengaluru has appointed Sheric Dorairaj as Director of Spa and Wellness, strengthening its focus on holistic wellbeing and integrated wellness experiences.

With over 15 years of experience across luxury hospitality, spa management and wellness, Dorairaj will lead the hotel's spa and wellness operations, with a focus on developing The Leela Spa as a destination for personalised and holistic wellbeing.

She most recently served as Director of Spa at The Ritz-Carlton Bengaluru, where she led spa operations and introduced new wellness experiences. She was also appointed to lead the APAC Luxury Spa Advisory Council for South Asia with Marriott International.

Earlier in her career, Dorairaj held spa leadership positions with IHCL's Taj Hotels, serving as Spa Manager at The Taj West End Bengaluru, Taj MG Road Bengaluru and Taj's Selections – Blue Diamond in Pune. Her experience spans spa operations, wellness programming, team leadership and personalised guest experiences.

Her industry contributions have earned her several recognitions, including National Award Winner – Head of Spa 2024 by BW Hotelier and a place among Hotelier India's Top 5 Spa Leaders 2024. She has also been associated with World Wellness Weekend and serves as an ambassador for Digital Detox Day, advocating mindful living and a healthier relationship with technology.

Commenting on her appointment, Sheric Dorairaj, Director of Spa and Wellness, The Leela Palace Bengaluru, said the hotel's vision is to reimagine The Leela Spa as a destination for holistic wellbeing by bringing together traditional wellness practices, contemporary fitness, alternative therapies and integrated experiences.

She added that the approach would be anchored in the philosophy of Aujasya, bringing ancient knowledge, modern science and technology together to support a more balanced and meaningful approach to personal wellbeing.

In her new role, Dorairaj will focus on evolving the hotel's wellness offering through a combination of traditional practices and contemporary approaches, with an emphasis on creating distinctive experiences for guests.

The appointment reflects The Leela Palace Bengaluru's continued focus on developing its wellness offering as part of its broader luxury hospitality experience.
