India’s wine scene is set for a major highlight this May, as Gambero Rosso, Italy’s leading authority on food and wine, brings the Top Italian Wines Roadshow to Mumbai. Scheduled for May 23 at Jio World Convention Centre, the event will feature more than 50 top Italian wine producers, offering Indian wine professionals a rare opportunity to experience the best of Italy’s renowned wine regions under one roof.
Known globally for its Vini d’Italia guidebook, Gambero Rosso has hosted this flagship B2B roadshow in cities like Washington, Toronto, and Tokyo. Now returning to India after over a decade, the Mumbai edition will be tailored exclusively for importers, distributors, retailers, sommeliers, hoteliers, and educators, reflecting India’s growing role on the global wine map.
Event highlights include:
Masterclasses by Italian wine experts, exploring regional varietals and winemaking trends.
Guided tastings of 100+ award-winning wines, from Tuscany to Sicily.
Exclusive networking opportunities with international producers and local industry leaders.
“After over a decade, we are excited to return to India with the Top Italian Wines Roadshow. This is more than a tasting—it is a celebration of Italy’s heritage, a gesture of collaboration, and a nod to the dynamic evolution of India’s wine culture,” said Marco Sabellico, Editor-in-Chief of Vini d’Italia.
The timing couldn’t be better. With a rising urban consumer base and evolving culinary preferences, India’s wine market is projected to grow at over 14% CAGR by 2030. Imports are steadily climbing, and international producers are increasingly eyeing India as a key growth market.
Italy, with over 500 native grape varieties and centuries of winemaking tradition, continues to lead the global wine industry. The roadshow brings this rich legacy directly to India, making it an unmissable event for anyone serious about wine.
Attendance is free but strictly by invitation and pre-registration.Register here: https://www.gamberorossointernational.com/tours/mumbai-2025-05-23/
