Udaipur Marriott Hotel, the first property under the flagship Marriott Hotels brand to debut in Udaipur, has announced the appointment of Vaibhav Sagar as its General Manager. With nearly 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Sagar brings with him a strong foundation in strategic planning, operations, and leadership.
Sagar began his professional journey with Hyatt Hotels before exploring the financial sector with stints at IDBI and Kotak Mahindra Bank. He later returned to hospitality and held senior roles with major hotel brands such as InterContinental Hotels Group, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, IHHR Hospitality, and Radisson Hotel Group. This cross-industry background has shaped his strengths in marketing, finance, and high-performance operations, backed by an innovative and strategic approach.
Most recently, he served as General Manager of Le Méridien Hyderabad since 2022, where he drove impactful improvements in guest satisfaction, operational efficiency, and commercial performance. An alumnus of Cornell University’s executive education program, Sagar also holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance.
On his new role, Sagar shared,
“I am honored to take on the leadership of Udaipur Marriott Hotel, a property with immense potential in one of India’s most vibrant hospitality markets. His appointment is expected to strengthen the hotel’s presence in Udaipur while shaping it into a premier destination for world-class hospitality.

Courtyard by Marriott Ranchi has announced the appointment of Chandan Kumar Roy as its new Food & Beverage Manager. Bringing over 18 years of rich experience in the hospitality industry, Chandan is all set to lead the property’s culinary strategy and service excellence.
Prior to joining Courtyard Ranchi, Chandan was the Assistant F&B Manager at Le Méridien, Kochi, where he played a key role in enhancing guest satisfaction and streamlining service operations. His diverse background also includes a stint as Sales Manager at Reliance Retail in Bengaluru, handling B2B and HoReCa verticals — a role that broadened his business and operational expertise.
Over the years, he has held leadership positions at Radisson Blu Coimbatore and Le Méridien Coimbatore, and has been an integral part of pre-opening teams at The Westin Pushkar, The Leela Palace Bengaluru, and Kempinski Ambience New Delhi. Starting his career as a Team Member at Pride Park Premier and The Leela Ambience Gurgaon, Chandan has steadily grown through dedication and leadership.
In his new role, Chandan will oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations at the hotel — from restaurant and banquet management to crafting innovative dining experiences and driving guest satisfaction. His strategic insights in cost optimization, menu engineering, and quality control are expected to play a key role in elevating the hotel’s F&B profile.

Crowne Plaza New Delhi Mayur Vihar has announced the appointment of Arun Paliwal as Area Director of Human Resources for IHG South West Asia and Director of Human Resources at the hotel. With a career spanning over 17 years in the hospitality industry, Arun brings a depth of experience and leadership that aligns perfectly with IHG’s people-first philosophy.
Arun has held several key HR roles across leading hospitality brands. Prior to this, he served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Leisure Hotels Group, where he managed HR strategies for a wide hotel portfolio. His professional journey also includes tenures at Vana Wellness Retreat, Dehradun (now Six Senses Vana under IHG), Crowne Plaza Ahmedabad, Holiday Inn Amritsar, Lemon Tree Premier and Red Fox Delhi, Lemon Tree Premier Hyderabad, Trident Udaipur, and The Oberoi Udaivilas.
This marks Arun’s second stint with IHG, and in his new role, he will lead HR strategy for IHG hotels across North India. Known for his strategic vision and people-centric approach, Arun aims to foster a culture of inclusivity, performance, and professional growth while ensuring IHG’s global values are seamlessly woven into every property.
