VIT Bhopal University Hosts 3rd International Conference in Paraguay

VIT Bhopal University, in collaboration with Universidad Nacional de Pilar, Ñeembucú, Paraguay, organised the 3rd International Conference on Interfacing Business, Culture, Language and Technology: Transforming Global Communication and Innovation (ICBCLT-2026) in Pilar, Paraguay.

The four-day international conference brought together scholars, researchers, students, academicians, entrepreneurs, business leaders and professionals from different countries and disciplines. The conference provided a platform for interdisciplinary knowledge exchange, research dissemination, international networking and cultural engagement.

The conference began with a welcome ceremony at Universidad Nacional de Pilar, bringing together university authorities, international delegates, researchers and participants. The opening day also featured an academic and cultural visit to historical and significant places in and around Pilar, allowing participants to explore the region's heritage while building academic and professional connections.

The second day focused on an extensive poster presentation programme, giving researchers and students an interactive platform to present their work and exchange ideas. Around 45 research presentations from Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, the United States and other countries were showcased by undergraduate and postgraduate research scholars.

The interactive format encouraged participants to discuss emerging research across disciplines and exchange perspectives with researchers from different academic and professional backgrounds.

Academic Discussions and International Collaboration

The third day served as the academic highlight of the conference with the formal inaugural ceremony. The session featured addresses by distinguished university authorities and conference leaders, including Prof. Dr. Víctor Ríos Ojeda, Chancellor, Universidad Nacional de Pilar, along with the Pro Vice Chancellor and Dean of Universidad Nacional de Pilar.

Graciela Barrios, Convener, Universidad Nacional de Pilar, and Dr. Vinod Bhatt and Dr. Dev Brat Gupta, Conveners from VIT Bhopal University, also addressed the gathering.

The speakers highlighted the growing importance of interdisciplinary research and international academic collaboration in an increasingly interconnected world, where business, culture, language and technology are closely linked.

The discussions also emphasised the role of universities in fostering innovation, strengthening research ecosystems, facilitating cross-border collaboration and enabling meaningful knowledge exchange.

Nine Keynote Lectures

A major highlight of ICBCLT-2026 was a series of nine keynote lectures delivered by international speakers and experts from academia, business and professional fields.

The keynote speakers included Prof. Ing. Héctor Rubén Paz, Argentina; James McCaulley, Former Mayor, Dodgeville, Wisconsin, USA; Samuel Wiens, Entrepreneur and Leadership Development Speaker, Paraguay; Dr. Vinod Bhatt, Associate Professor, VIT Bhopal University, India; Dr. Dev Brat Gupta, Assistant Professor, VIT Bhopal University, India; Luis Adolfo Chamorro, President, CIERSE S.R.L., Paraguay; Dr. Juan Ramón Bueno Jara, Attorney and National Business Leader in Real Estate, Paraguay; Ashok Kumar Selliah, Business Leader in Real Estate and Construction, Canada; and Dr. Adrian Dhana, Boston, USA.

Alongside the keynote sessions, the conference featured 45 offline and 60 online research presentations, allowing scholars and participants from different academic and professional backgrounds to share their research with an international audience.

Cultural Exchange and Conference Conclusion

The concluding day featured a valedictory session marking the successful completion of the conference, followed by a cultural dance performance celebrating Paraguay's rich cultural traditions.

The cultural programme reinforced the conference's emphasis on diversity and intercultural exchange, while giving international participants an opportunity to experience and appreciate the local culture.

The conference concluded with a press conference highlighting the key outcomes of ICBCLT-2026, the India–Paraguay academic collaboration and the importance of continued international cooperation in research and innovation.

The event further strengthened opportunities for academic exchange and interdisciplinary engagement between VIT Bhopal University and Universidad Nacional de Pilar, while creating a platform for researchers and professionals from different countries to connect and share knowledge.
