voco Jim Corbett, India’s first voco hotel by IHG Hotels & Resorts, has announced the appointment of key leadership roles across various departments. The new leadership team includes Suprabhath Roy Chowdhury as General Manager, Raghvendra Pratap Singh as Director of Sales, Tenzin Losel as Executive Chef, Girish Mamgain as Operations Manager, Ahmed Faisal as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, and Surender Singh as Front Office Manager.

Suprabhath Roy Chowdhury, General Manager: With an illustrious career spanning 24 years, Suprabhath Roy Chowdhury has excelled in senior roles across prestigious hotel chains in India. He previously served as the General Manager at Holiday Inn Mayur Vihar, New Delhi. At voco Jim Corbett, he will lead the positioning and operational excellence of IHG Hotels & Resorts' first voco property in India, focusing on exceptional guest experiences, innovative service standards, and sustainable practices.

Raghvendra Pratap Singh, Director of Sales: Singh brings 18 years of diverse experience in the hospitality industry, specializing in hotel sales. He joined the IHG family 4.5 years ago and has worked at Holiday Inn Gurugram from 2020 to 2024. His skills include leadership, strategic sales, business development, MICE & Weddings sales, client relationship management, and new client acquisition.

Tenzin Losel, Executive Chef: As the opening Executive Chef at voco Jim Corbett, Tenzin Losel brings 24 years of culinary experience. He has been instrumental in supervising kitchen operations, designing menus, training staff, and ensuring customer satisfaction. His expertise spans a broad range of cuisines, from traditional Indian to international flavors. Committed to quality and hygiene, he prioritizes immersive culinary experiences through collaborative efforts.

Girish Mamgain, Operations Manager: Mamgain is a seasoned hospitality professional with 24 years of extensive experience. His career includes notable tenures as Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and General Manager at Corbett Aamod Resort & Spa. He excels in project management, hotel openings, and team leadership, and is proficient in business, finance, and data analysis. His dedication and diverse expertise highlight his commitment to excellence in hospitality management and guest satisfaction.

Ahmed Faisal, Assistant Food and Beverage Manager: Faisal has 18 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with over 12 years at IHG. He began as an F&B Executive in 2005 and worked as a Restaurant Manager from 2015 to 2019 before joining voco Jim Corbett. Faisal is recognized for thoughtful enhancements to elevate the guest experience and is skilled in driving business growth through strategic partnerships, financial planning, and effective leadership.

Surender Singh, Front Office Manager: Singh brings 13 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with 5.5 years at IHG. He is adept at managing and developing teams to achieve high performance, compliance with regulations, and exceptional guest service standards. As Front Office Manager, he has overseen operational budgets, conducted late-night audit operations, and prepared financial reports.

Sabarinath R joins as Director of Sales and Marketing, bringing over two decades of experience in luxury hospitality sales and marketing. He previously served as Vice President – Business Development (South) at Foodlink F&B Holdings and as Director of Sales & Marketing at The Leela Palace Chennai. Known for driving exceptional performance, Sabarinath has led successful pre-opening teams, MICE and catering operations, and strategic pricing initiatives. His tenure at The Leela Palace Chennai saw record achievements, including an RGI Index of 139 and the #1 ADR position in February 2024. He was also honoured as Chief Closing Officer of the Year (2022) and HOD of the Year (2014–15) for his leadership excellence.

Joining him is Anish C. Mohan, appointed as Director of Sales. Anish brings extensive experience across hospitality sales and business development, with leadership roles at Taj Coromandel Chennai, The Leela Palaces & Resorts, and aloft Chennai. His expertise spans strategic planning, revenue optimisation, and client relationship management, with proven success in driving growth across corporate, MICE, and leisure segments in competitive South Indian markets.

The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore has announced the appointment of Rupesh Karbhari as its official sommelier. Karbhari brings nearly two decades of experience from prestigious luxury hotels and cruise lines, including Cunard Cruise Lines, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, and The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts. His credentials include the Introductory Sommelier Certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers (2024) and the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines & Spirits (2015). In 2017, he was recognised as a ‘Nominated Educator’ by the Wines & Spirits Education Trust, London, for his exceptional teaching of WSET programmes.
