Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts has proudly declared the opening of its much-anticipated property, Waldorf Astoria Doha West Bay. This exquisite hotel defines contemporary opulence with its sophisticated decor, diverse dining options, a sprawling four-floor wellness haven, and a commitment to providing seamless, personalized service.

Boasting a stunning 44-storey structure with 283 rooms and suites, along with 50 luxurious apartments, the hotel pays homage to the iconic Waldorf Astoria in New York. Each room exudes a distinctive art deco style, and to elevate the guest experience, a dedicated Personal Concierge is assigned to attend to every detail from pre-arrival to post-departure.

Guy Hutchinson, President of Middle East & Africa at Hilton, expressed excitement about the hotel's opening, emphasizing the strong growth in international travel experienced by Qatar, welcoming over four million visitors in 2023. He highlighted the property's timeless design, enticing culinary offerings, the expansive spa, and state-of-the-art event facilities, positioning it as an urban oasis in the heart of the city.

The lobby, inspired by grand clocks in Waldorf Astoria properties worldwide, features a magnificent clock crafted by Tiffany & Co., celebrating Qatar's national bird, the falcon. The bespoke design, coupled with luxurious mohair upholstery in Tiffany blue, sets a sophisticated tone that extends to each guest room.

The Waldorf Astoria Spa, spanning from the 39th to the 43rd floor, offers a wellness haven with breathtaking views of Qatar's skyline. The spa's bespoke features include salt inhalation relaxation, hydrotherapy pools, sensory rain walk, meditation studios, and treatment suites embracing holistic wellness.

In alignment with Waldorf Astoria's culinary excellence, the hotel presents a diverse range of dining venues. From the historical Peacock Alley offering Afternoon Tea to the Parisienne patisserie Ledoux and the New York-inspired mixology bar, The Cortland Bar, guests can embark on a culinary journey. Tribeca Market, a gourmet food hall experience, adds a unique touch with five different live stations.

Indian Hotels Company Limited has announced the opening of Vivanta Vrindavan, marking the brand’s debut in one of India’s most revered spiritual hubs, Vrindavan. The launch reinforces IHCL’s continued focus on expanding its presence across key pilgrimage and spiritual destinations in the country.

Strategically located close to major temples and cultural landmarks, the 135-key property has been designed to offer a calm and immersive stay experience, reflecting the spiritual essence of the destination while maintaining Vivanta’s contemporary hospitality approach.

Speaking on the launch, Deepika Rao noted that spiritual destinations in India continue to witness sustained and diverse travel demand, with Vrindavan remaining central to this journey. She added that the hotel aims to deliver a stay experience rooted in the ethos of the destination.

The property features multiple dining and lifestyle offerings including Mynt, an all-day vegetarian restaurant with global and regional influences; Swirl, a lobby café; Wink, a poolside bar; and Tease, an alfresco dining space. Guests can also access wellness facilities such as a spa, fitness centre, and an open-to-sky infinity pool.

Highlighting the operational vision, Saurabh Mitra shared that the hotel has been thoughtfully designed to reflect the vibrant character of Vrindavan, with a focus on delivering meaningful and personalised guest experiences.

The opening aligns with IHCL’s broader strategy of tapping into India’s growing spiritual tourism segment, where destinations like Shri Banke Bihari Mandir and Prem Mandir continue to attract both domestic and international travellers.
