The resort's architectural and interior designs are a homage to the rich cultural tapestry of the Seychelles, with villas shaped like hawksbill turtle shells, showcasing fan-shaped designs and ascending pitched ceilings. The Waldorf Astoria’s iconic sundial clock at the resort draws inspiration from the Moulin Kopra, embodying a Creole melting pot.

Gastronomy at the Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island is an epicurean journey led by Executive Head Chef Jane-Therese Mulry. The resort boasts six restaurants and bars, each presenting unique dining experiences from Creole-Latin fusion dishes to exquisite Mediterranean cuisine, complemented by mixology classes and private barbecue sessions.

With eco-conscious initiatives at its core, the resort employs a resident environment manager and marine biologist and operates a 2.5MW solar farm that powers 95% of its operations. The resort's dedication to preserving the local ecosystem is further demonstrated through partnerships with local non-profits and eco-awareness programs like coral planting.
