In the heart of Hyderabad, Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre recently set the stage for the much-anticipated Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, a festive celebration that brought the joy and warmth of Christmas to life. The grandeur of the hotel became a radiant spectacle as the evening unfolded with traditional rituals and holiday cheer.
The entire venue was transformed into a festive haven, adorned with meticulous detail. A towering 30-foot Christmas tree, bathed in warm light, became the centerpiece of the celebration. Standing proudly at an impressive 8 feet, a majestic Gingerbread House enhanced the festive ambiance, collectively creating an atmosphere of joy and warmth.
The festivities commenced with live carol singing, filling the air with timeless melodies that resonated throughout the hotel. These harmonious tunes set the stage for the main event—the enchanting illumination of the Christmas tree. As the tree lit up, gasps of awe echoed through the gathering, capturing the magical and festive spirit of the occasion.
Adding to the enchantment was an exquisite menu curated for the guests. Plum Cake Slices, Plum Pudding Slices, Stolen Bread Slices, Ginger Cookies, Cheese Platters, and Mulled Wine Sangria with red and white wine options delighted the taste buds. The culinary experience was elevated by the presence of a charming Gingerbread House, infusing the celebration with warmth and joy. A Special Traditional Plum Cake, enriched with ingredients soaked in alcohol for three months, added a unique touch to the festive feast.
Rubin Cherian, the General Manager of Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre & Hyderabad International Convention Centre, shared his thoughts on the occasion, stating, “The Tree Lighting Ceremony is a magical celebration filled with warmth and shared joy. From our majestic Christmas tree to the thoughtfully designed Gingerbread House and the delightful menu, the evening promises unforgettable moments. As we continue to host our festive celebrations, we’re excited about creating more magical memories for our cherished guests. The ceremony beautifully captures the spirit of the season, bringing our community together in a joyful celebration. It’s our pleasure to host memorable and enchanting experiences, making this holiday season truly special.”
Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre once again succeeded in creating a festive atmosphere that resonated with the true spirit of the season, marking the beginning of joyful celebrations and creating lasting memories for guests and the community alike.

CGH Earth Saha has expanded its presence in Tamil Nadu with the launch of Isai Karai, a boutique coastal bungalow in Mahabalipuram. Designed as a quiet and intimate retreat, the property blends the charm of a traditional bungalow with modern comforts, set against a culturally rich seaside backdrop.
Located just a short walk from the shore along the Bay of Bengal, Isai Karai, meaning ‘musical shore’, offers a peaceful stay surrounded by greenery and the calming sound of the sea. The property also enjoys close proximity to iconic landmarks like the Shore Temple and the rock relief of Arjuna's Penance, allowing guests to explore the region’s heritage with ease.
The bungalow features five rooms, spread across a three-bedroom main residence and a separate two-bedroom unit. While rooms can be booked individually, the layout also works well for families and small groups looking for a shared yet private stay.
Each room is inspired by the natural surroundings, with names and themes drawn from plants and trees on the property. Interiors are designed to bring the outdoors in, with open-style bathrooms, natural light, and green views. Pathways run through lawns and shaded courtyards, with tropical fruit trees like papaya, mango, and star fruit adding to the relaxed setting.
The design also reflects Mahabalipuram’s artistic heritage, with locally sourced stone elements, sculptures, and curated artworks adding character to the space.
Dining at the bungalow focuses on flavours of the Tamil coast, along with other cuisines that can be customised for guests. Fresh seafood and locally sourced ingredients take centre stage, while evenings are best enjoyed at the poolside barbecue, where the day’s catch is grilled in a laid-back garden setting.
Beyond the stay, guests can explore nearby attractions such as the Mahabalipuram Lighthouse and the India Seashell Museum, along with local sculpture schools that continue the region’s stone-carving traditions. The beaches, known for their surf-friendly waves, also attract water sports enthusiasts.
With easy access from Chennai and Puducherry, Isai Karai Bungalow is well-suited for weekend getaways, longer coastal stays, and intimate family holidays.
