SOCIAL, one of India’s most popular neighbourhood café-bar brands, has reopened its Whitefield outlet at Phoenix Marketcity Bengaluru with a refreshed design and updated experience. Originally launched in 2015 as the brand’s fifth outlet in India, Whitefield SOCIAL quickly became a familiar hangout for professionals, students, and creatives in the neighbourhood.
Now returning in 2026, the space has been redesigned to reflect the changing character of Whitefield while continuing to serve as a lively community hub.
The concept behind the refreshed space draws inspiration from Whitefield’s lesser-known past. Long before the area developed into a busy urban centre, it was known for its network of lakes. As the city expanded and the water bodies receded over time, natural rock formations beneath the land began to surface, creating textured landscapes shaped by nature.
Whitefield SOCIAL’s design takes cues from these formations, translating them into fluid shapes, earthy textures, and warm tones across the space. Located inside the bustling Phoenix Marketcity Mall Bengaluru, the café-bar offers a calm and inviting atmosphere where guests can slow down and relax amid the pace of the city.
The design has been conceptualised by FK’D Workshop, a multidisciplinary studio founded by architect Faizan Khatri. Known for combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design thinking, the studio has created a space that balances raw elements with contemporary comfort.
Speaking about the reopening, Satyajit Dhingra, Chief Operating Officer at Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality Pvt. Ltd., said,
"Whitefield has always had a strong sense of community, and SOCIAL has been fortunate to be part of that journey since 2015. With the reopening of Whitefield SOCIAL, we’re excited to welcome the neighbourhood back into a space that continues to evolve with the city while staying true to what SOCIAL stands for, a place where people can come together, unwind, and feel a sense of belonging."
Along with its refreshed interiors, the outlet will also introduce The Big Drop menu, one of SOCIAL’s biggest updates to its food and drinks offerings. The all-day menu covers a wide variety of options including Breakfast, Snacks & Chaat, BOSS Burgers, Munchies, Substantials, Desserts, and Beverages.
New additions such as Ramen bowls, Breakfast Sandwiches, and Dunkables bring playful flavours to the menu while some of SOCIAL’s popular favourites remain unchanged. Guests can enjoy dishes like Avocado Toast, Anda Kheema Ghotala, Kimchi Momo Ramen, Peanut Butter & Smoke Chilli Ramen, Toast-E-Galawati, Nihari Prashant, and indulgent burgers such as the Samosalicious Smash Burger and Paneer Bomba Burger.
Complementing the food menu is The Big Drop – Peena Edition, a drinks lineup inspired by India’s lively drinking culture. The menu includes creative cocktails, shareable pitchers, and some of SOCIAL’s popular classics. Signature options include the Longest Long Island Ice Coffee (LLIIC), SOCIAL Emotions, Lifafa cocktails, Candy Crush, and the newly introduced Grenade.
True to the brand’s philosophy, Whitefield SOCIAL continues to function as a flexible neighbourhood space that adapts to the rhythm of the day. From morning coffee meetings and work lunches to evening drinks and weekend gatherings, the café-bar is designed to welcome professionals, entrepreneurs, students, artists, and groups of friends.
With its refreshed design, vibrant menu, and the same community-driven spirit that defined its early years, Whitefield SOCIAL is set to once again become a favourite meeting spot for people in the neighbourhood.

The Hazelnut Factory (THF) has marked its entry into Uttarakhand with the opening of THF Lakehouse on the iconic Mall Road in Nainital. Inaugurated on 10th August 2026, the new destination is the brand’s 23rd edition, bringing together its signature artisanal mithai, handcrafted desserts, specialty coffee, fresh bakery and all-day dining.
Set against the scenic beauty of Nainital Lake, THF Lakehouse has been designed to blend with the character of the hill destination. The space combines contemporary touches with the old-world charm of Nainital, creating a warm setting for travellers, families and locals to spend time over food and coffee.
The launch was celebrated in the presence of Smt. Sarita Arya, MLA of the Nainital Assembly Constituency.
For Ankit Sahni, Founder & CEO of The Hazelnut Factory, the opening also carries a personal connection, as he spent his school years in Nainital.
“Nainital has always held a very special place in my heart. I spent my school years here, and to return to the city with something we have built from the ground up is an incredibly meaningful feeling. With THF Lakehouse, we wanted to create a space that feels connected to Nainital - warm, welcoming and rooted in its character, while bringing the quality, craftsmanship and hospitality that define The Hazelnut Factory. It is wonderful to see locals and travellers come together over good food, coffee and the simple joy of being in a beautiful place.”
The Nainital launch is also an important step in THF’s growth journey. Starting from Lucknow, the brand has grown into one of North India’s fastest-growing premium food and beverage brands, bringing together artisanal mithai, specialty coffee, bakery, patisserie and contemporary hospitality.
With THF Lakehouse, the brand continues its approach of presenting familiar Indian flavours in a contemporary way while creating spaces that connect with their surroundings.
In Nainital, this connection comes together through the setting itself, where mountains, coffee, conversations and memories meet against the backdrop of Nainital Lake.
