Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchising company, has announced the appointment of Rahool Macarius as the Market Managing Director for Eurasia. This strategic move reflects Wyndham's commitment to expanding its presence in one of the most dynamic hospitality markets, with the Indian industry alone expected to surpass $281 billion by 2025.
Rahool Macarius, a seasoned hospitality leader with over 25 years of experience, is returning to Wyndham after serving as the Director of Commercial for the region. His expertise spans financial management, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement, honed through leadership roles at prominent hotel groups.
In his new role, Rahool will oversee operations across India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and the Maldives, spearheading efforts to grow Wyndham's diverse portfolio of 25 brands. With over 60 operational hotels in India and plans to expand by at least 25% within the next 18 months, Rahool is tasked with driving market penetration and aligning new property developments with Wyndham's ambitious growth strategy.

The Leela Bhartiya City Bengaluru, Hotel Conventions Residences has strengthened its leadership team with two key appointments, Uma Mahesh Rao as Executive Housekeeper and Siddharth Khurana as Front Office Manager. Hyatt Regency Chennai has announced the promotion of Lakshmi Nandagopal to the role of Director of Human Resources, marking a significant milestone in her two-decade-long career in people management and organisational excellence.
