Mercure Kathmandu Sukedhara Heights is all set to spice up the city's culinary scene with the grand opening of Zaiqa, a restaurant dedicated to authentic Indian cuisine. Officially launching on April 7, 2025, Zaiqa was unveiled in style with the gracious presence of acclaimed actress Ms. Manisha Koirala as the Chief Guest.
Positioned on the 10th floor of the hotel, Zaiqa isn’t just about food — it’s an immersive experience. From stunning skyline views of Kathmandu to plush interiors and personalized service, every detail is crafted to offer elegance and warmth. The restaurant features private dining rooms, interactive chef’s tables, and even personal butlers, making it ideal for intimate celebrations and culinary indulgence.
At the heart of this new dining experience are Executive Chef Mukesh Singh and Sous Chef Mohammad Ahmad, who have come together to craft a menu that beautifully blends India’s rich culinary legacy with a modern twist. Signature dishes such as Murgh Shahjhani, Nalli Nihari, and Kasundi Jhinga promise to deliver bold, complex flavors with refined technique.
Speaking about the launch, Vijay Nanmaran S., General Manager of Mercure Kathmandu Sukedhara Heights, shared,
"Zaiqa is more than just a restaurant — it is a gateway to India's culinary heritage, reimagined in an elegant and contemporary setting. We are thrilled to introduce this exceptional dining experience to Kathmandu and offer Indian travelers a taste of India while exploring Nepal's vibrant culinary capital."
