Zentis Osaka, a member of the prestigious Design Hotels, has introduced an exciting new package for guests called ‘Stay & Savor’, combining a luxurious two-night stay, daily breakfast, and an indulgent afternoon tea experience at the hotel’s renowned UPSTAIRZ Lounge, Bar & Restaurant. Since its opening in 2020, the hotel has been praised for its innovative and sleek design, created by the international firm Tara Bernerd & Partners. The hotel has also gained significant recognition for its culinary offerings, with UPSTAIRZ earning a spot in the inaugural Michelin Guide’s list of selected restaurants.

The centerpiece of the ‘Stay & Savor’ package is the seasonal afternoon tea, crafted with a focus on Japan’s premium grape varieties. This particular tea service, available through November 30, celebrates the harvest season with three highly sought-after grape varietals: Shine Muscat, Nagano Purple, and Queen Rouge. These grapes are woven into the sweets offerings, which include a grape & perilla verrine, Shine Muscat tart and macaron, a fragrant olive & vanilla mousse, and a mont blanc with a hint of cassis liqueur.

The savory selections are designed to perfectly complement the sweet offerings. They include dishes such as a fig caprese salad with prosciutto, braised Flemish pork & chestnut crêpe, and a beef bresaola & beetroot tart. Guests can elevate their experience further by pairing their food with unlimited tea, choosing from flavors like pink rose, bergamot peach, or the house-blend tea served at UPSTAIRZ. For an additional charge, a glass of champagne is also available.

This seasonal dining experience takes place in the stunning setting of the UPSTAIRZ Lounge, known for its lofty ceilings, abundance of natural light, and access to a shaded outdoor terrace that is surrounded by greenery. While the afternoon tea menu changes with each season, the ambiance remains consistently inviting, providing guests with a relaxed yet sophisticated environment to enjoy their time.

Also included in the ‘Stay & Savor’ package is breakfast, served at UPSTAIRZ Restaurant. The cozy dining area offers three styles of breakfast to cater to different preferences, including American and vegan options. However, the star of the breakfast menu is the chef’s unique Japanese tasting-style breakfast, which features seven small dishes, each highlighting seasonal flavors, along with a traditional Japanese omelet and soup.

Guests have a variety of accommodation options at Zentis Osaka, ranging from minimalist Studios, which are ideal for solo travelers, to Corner Studios with deep-soaking tubs, a popular choice for couples. For those seeking more space, suites with separate living areas are also available. Each guest room embodies a Japanese-inspired minimalist aesthetic, with thoughtful functionality and modular designs that take inspiration from the bento box.

Beyond the individual rooms, Zentis Osaka offers communal spaces designed to foster both work and relaxation. The Guest Lounge features a large communal table made from cypress, providing a productive space for business travelers. Meanwhile, recessed banquettes and a garden terrace with floor-to-ceiling windows offer areas for guests to unwind. The seamless connection between the indoor lounge and the outdoor terrace is enhanced by a see-through fireplace, making it an ideal space for both socializing and working.

Rates for the ‘Stay & Savor’ package begin at JPY 56,500 for Studio accommodations (based on single occupancy), inclusive of taxes and service charges. Guests are required to book at least three days in advance, and reservations for the afternoon tea must be made for the day of arrival or the following day at the designated 3:00 pm seating.

GReaT Green Meetings: Great Trails Yercaud by GRT Hotels Unveils Eco-Conscious Corporate Experience

Great Trails Yercaud by GRT Hotels has unveiled an innovative corporate initiative titled “GReaT Green Meetings”, blending sustainability with hospitality. Created in partnership with ECO INDEX, this one-of-a-kind offering is designed to provide corporate guests with a fully integrated eco-conscious meeting experience at the scenic Yercaud property.

The new concept reflects GRT Hotels’ growing focus on responsible tourism and climate action. It redefines business meets by incorporating carbon footprint calculations, a plant-based no-oil, no-boil menu, and carbon offsetting through tree planting, all aimed at reducing the environmental impact of traditional corporate events.

Key Features of GReaT Green Meetings:

  •  Carbon Footprint Calculation: The ECO INDEX application tracks emissions from travel, food waste, dry waste, and more, offering participants clear insights into their environmental impact.

  •  GReaT Raw Cuisine: A no-boil, no-oil culinary approach that aligns wellness with eco-conscious living.

  •  Sustainable Amenities: Everything from biodegradable toiletries to plastic-free setups ensure minimal ecological disturbance.

  •  Carbon Offsetting: Trees are planted within the resort premises for every event hosted, contributing to long-term carbon absorption.

  •  Plant Gifts: Each participant receives a plant sapling as a symbol of growth and sustainability.

The GReaT Raw Cuisine: Cooking for a Cooler Planet

This initiative also introduces a “No-Boil, No-Oil Revolution” — a low-impact cooking method that skips boiling and oil-based techniques, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Why It Matters

Conventional cooking methods involve:

  • Use of fossil fuels or electricity

  • Extraction and refinement of oils

  • Packaging, refrigeration, and food processing

These activities contribute heavily to carbon emissions. In contrast, no-oil, no-boil cooking requires minimal energy, aligning with a healthier and environmentally-conscious lifestyle.

Carbon Comparison: What does 70 kg CO₂e saving mean?

  •  Equivalent to driving a car for 280 km

  •  Charging 9,000 smartphones

  •  Saving  3 mature trees’ annual CO₂ offset

GReaT Green Menu Highlights

  • Neer More

  • Muringai Keerai Vadai

  • Vazahakkai Poriyal

  • Vellarika Thayir Pachadi

  • Aval Puliohara

  • Aval Sadham

  • Pacha Puli Rasam

With GReaT Green Meetings, Great Trails Yercaud invites businesses to not only connect and collaborate, but also contribute to a greener planet. This initiative is a thoughtful blend of innovation, tradition, and sustainability, setting a new standard for eco-conscious corporate hospitality in India.

OYO’s premium hospitality brand, SUNDAY Hotel, has unveiled India’s first Japanese-themed hotel in Gurugram, offering a unique fusion of traditional Japanese design and contemporary Indian luxury. Located at M3M SkyLoft on New Golf Course Road Extension, this expansive 217-key property spans 50,000 sq. ft. and aims to redefine immersive hospitality experiences for business travelers and Japanese expatriates alike.

Designed with precision and cultural sensitivity, the hotel features a traditional Japanese Ofuro (soaking tub), a Japanese Hammam, and a 20-seater specialty restaurant serving authentic Japanese fare—ramen, donburi, sushi, tofu, onigiri, and more. With Gurugram hosting one of India’s largest Japanese communities, the location is a natural choice. The city also sees strong business travel traffic, and this culturally attuned hospitality concept appeals to global executives seeking efficient service, high hygiene standards, and sophisticated design.

Aditya Sharma, Country Head, SUNDAY Hotels, shared,

“Several Japanese companies have already chosen this SUNDAY Hotel as their preferred accommodation partner. We are working with Japanese designers to incorporate traditional elements like tatami mats, minimalist interiors, and warm Japanese hospitality practices within a modern Indian setting.”

The initiative also taps into India’s growing affinity for Japanese pop culture. With the rise of anime, manga, and J-dramas, interest in Japanese cuisine is booming. Health-conscious Indian travelers are also increasingly drawn to fresh, minimally processed food, making Japanese cuisine’s balance and simplicity a perfect match.

SUNDAY Hotel aims to scale this concept further, betting on pan-India demand in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Pune, where Japanese dining and culture already enjoy a growing fanbase.
