Zo Trips, the curated group travel arm of Zostel, has stepped into global experience-led travel with the launch of Formula 1 race weekend packages for the 2026 season. The move highlights a shift from regular sightseeing trips to more event-focused travel experiences designed for Indian travellers.
The response has been strong right from the start. The company shared that its first group departure for 2026 is already sold out, along with receiving over 1,500 inquiries across multiple Formula 1 races. This early traction, largely organic, reflects the growing interest among Indian travellers in combining travel with global sporting events.
The first confirmed trip will be for the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka. This will be followed by planned departures to Singapore and Azerbaijan races. At the same time, registrations have opened for the 2027 Australian Grand Prix, while the brand is also exploring more long-haul race destinations, including those in the Americas.
These travel packages are designed to offer a complete experience. They include official race access covering practice sessions, qualifying rounds, and race day, along with accommodation, transfers, and on-ground support. The trips follow a group-based format, staying true to Zo Trips’ community-driven approach.
Sharing his thoughts on the launch, Aviral Gupta, CEO of Zostel and Zo World, said, “We believe travel is undergoing a fundamental shift from destinations to experiences and that shift is already evident in how people are choosing to travel today. Journeys are increasingly being built around moments that matter, from concerts to global sporting events. Formula 1 stands out in this shift because it brings together sport, culture, and a truly global fan community in a way very few experiences can. With Zo Trips, we’re enabling Indian travellers to access these moments in a seamless, community-driven way. This is where the future of travel is headed: experience-first, high-intent, and deeply connected.”
The launch also reflects a larger trend in outbound travel, especially among younger Indian travellers, who are now looking for more immersive and meaningful experiences rather than traditional itineraries. With this step, Zo Trips expands Zostel’s community-first approach beyond stays, moving into curated global travel that blends culture, travel, and international sporting events.
