Zomato, one of India's leading food and grocery delivery companies, has announced that it will officially change its corporate name to Eternal Limited from March 20, 2025. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has granted approval for the change, reflecting a broader business vision beyond food delivery.
While the corporate entity will now be called Eternal Limited, the Zomato brand and app will remain unchanged. Eternal Limited will encompass four key businesses:
Zomato (food delivery)
Blinkit (quick commerce)
District (restaurant tech solutions)
Hyperpure (B2B food supply)
Along with the name change, Zomato’s stock ticker will also transition to Eternal, aligning with the company’s expanding business focus.
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal explained that the growing influence of Blinkit in the company’s future led to the rebranding. In a letter to shareholders, he shared, “When we acquired Blinkit, we started using 'Eternal' internally to distinguish the company from the brand. Now that Blinkit has become a major driver of our future, it’s time to make the change official.”
Following the transition, the corporate website will shift from zomato.com to eternal.com, and future strategic growth will focus on diversified business verticals.
This transformation signifies a new era for Zomato, positioning itself not just as a food delivery brand but as a multi-vertical business powerhouse under the name Eternal Limited.
