In an exciting development for Uttarakhand, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was recently signed between Samagra Shiksha Uttarakhand and Swiss Education Group, Switzerland. This collaboration aims to revolutionize tourism and hospitality training in the state.

The primary goal of this partnership is to provide advanced training in tourism and hospitality to students in classes 9th to 12th in Uttarakhand. By formalizing this MoU, the state takes a significant step toward empowering its youth with valuable skills for the future.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami views this collaboration as a milestone in enhancing the quality of training in tourism and hospitality. He emphasized the vast employment potential in these sectors in Uttarakhand and how this partnership aligns with the state's efforts to promote tourism, including religious, spiritual, adventure, eco, and wellness tourism.

The Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Abhay Das Maharaj for playing a pivotal role in facilitating this agreement with Switzerland. This collaboration stems from discussions between the Chief Minister and Abhay Das Maharaj approximately four months ago.

Tourism holds immense importance for Uttarakhand, especially during events like the Chardham Yatra, which draws thousands of devotees to the state. The state government is committed to attracting both devotees and tourists throughout the year to Uttarakhand's religious and tourist destinations.

In another exciting development, the Uttarakhand government signed an MoU worth ₹15,000 crore with JSW Neo Energy Limited for the development of two pumped storage projects in Almora. This initiative is expected to generate employment for around 1,000 people and provide essential services like drinking water supply and irrigation.

Global Investor Summit 2023: Transforming Uttarakhand's Future

During the Global Investor Summit 2023 roadshow in New Delhi, MoUs worth over ₹19,000 crore were inked with various institutions, with a focus on renewable energy, electronics manufacturing, and more. The flagship agreement involves a ₹15,000 crore commitment from JSW Neo Energy for two pumped storage projects in Almora.

In another historic move, EaseMyTrip, an online travel tech platform, and the government of Uttarakhand have signed an MoU worth over ₹250 crore to elevate Uttarakhand's standing as a global tourism hotspot. This transformative partnership aims to launch dynamic marketing campaigns targeting diverse markets worldwide, showcasing the state's unmatched beauty and cultural heritage.

These developments signify Uttarakhand's commitment to enhancing education, employment, tourism, and economic growth. The state is poised to become a thriving hub for tourism and hospitality, offering opportunities for both its residents and tourists from around the world. With visionary leadership and strategic collaborations, Uttarakhand is on a path to a brighter future.
