Fast food giant McDonald's is teaming up with GreenCell Mobility's NueGo electric bus service to provide eco-conscious travelers with a unique dining experience.
In an exciting move towards a greener future, McDonald's India - North and East is partnering with NueGo, the renowned electric bus service brand operated by GreenCell Mobility. This collaboration aims to cater to the needs of modern, environmentally aware travelers by offering convenient meal options to those choosing NueGo's sustainable travel services.
Passengers traveling on NueGo's electric bus routes from Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT), New Delhi to popular destinations such as Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Dehradun, Agra, or Jaipur can now enjoy McDonald's meals while awaiting departure in an exclusive lounge. As this partnership unfolds, it will expand to cover additional routes and introduce a pre-booking feature for meals to enhance traveler convenience.

From reducing carbon footprints with renewable energy to conserving water and responsibly sourcing ingredients, McDonald's is deeply committed to promoting a sustainable Earth. The collaboration with NueGo is a significant step toward contributing to a carbon-neutral economy.

McDonald's India - North and East has consistently demonstrated its commitment to sustainability. The brand uses FSC certified paper-based packaging sourced from recycled materials or responsibly managed forests as an eco-friendly alternative to plastic packaging. Their French Fries are produced in a zero-water discharge facility, significantly reducing water consumption.
The brand also sources coffee sustainably with Rainforest Alliance certification, empowering coffee farmers to enhance productivity through sustainable practices. Furthermore, McDonald's India - North and East's engagement in local lettuce sourcing supports the livelihoods of over 250 small and marginal farmers across the country.
In terms of palm oil, McDonald's India - North and East sources 100% through sustainable production and deforestation-free supply chains certified by the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and Mass Balance certification. To further reduce its carbon footprint, the brand repurposes used cooking oil into biodiesel.
Together, McDonald's India - North and East and NueGo share a vision of sustainability and eco-friendly travel.
