Executive Chef John Biswas has been promoted to the esteemed position of Director of Culinary. Hailing from the vibrant city of Kolkata, Chef John's culinary saga commenced when he graduated from the prestigious Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Kolkata in 2000. His culinary voyage has been adorned with experiences in luxury and upscale hotels, Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), private experiential dining, outdoor catering, and even corporate cook-offs. Across the global culinary landscape, from the Middle East to India, Africa to Bermuda, and Dhaka, he has curated gastronomic delights that have captivated even the most discerning palates.

Throughout his career, Chef John's culinary expertise has resonated across diverse hospitality brands, including Rotana, Ritz Carlton, Fairmont, Kempinski, IHG, Hyatt, and Marriott, among others. His ability to connect with people on a personal level has earned him the endearing title of a "People's Man."

Chef John's remarkable journey with Radisson commenced in December 2018, when he joined Radisson Hitec City Hyderabad. His unwavering commitment and exceptional culinary leadership paved the way for his recent appointment at Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Hyderabad Banjara Hills in April 2021. Now, in his elevated role as Director of Culinary, Chef John embarks on a new mission—advancing sustainable food practices. His passion for flavors and his dedication to innovation shine even brighter in this role.

Summit Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Arun Daga as the General Manager of Summit Green Village Resort & Spa, Kaziranga, strengthening its leadership presence in one of Northeast India’s key wildlife tourism destinations.

In his new role, Arun Daga will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the resort, with a focus on enhancing guest experiences, improving operational efficiency, and strengthening the property’s positioning within the growing tourism ecosystem of Kaziranga.

Arun Daga brings nearly three decades of experience in the hospitality industry. A graduate of the University of Calcutta with a qualification in Hotel Management from BILAMS, he has built extensive expertise across hotel operations, guest services, team leadership, and property management over the course of his career.

Prior to this appointment, he held several leadership roles across hospitality establishments, where he contributed to operational improvements and service delivery enhancements across diverse markets.

Speaking on the appointment, Sumit Mitruka, CEO of Summit Hotels & Resorts, said Arun Daga brings valuable operational experience and a strong understanding of hospitality, and expressed confidence that his leadership will further strengthen both guest experience and operational performance at the Kaziranga property.

Throughout his career, he has built expertise in luxury food and beverage operations, strategic planning, team leadership and enhancing guest experiences.

He has successfully managed large-scale restaurant and banquet operations for several leading international hospitality brands, including Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts, Etihad Airways, Jumeirah Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and Taj Hotels.
